  1. The system receives individual pressures but it only uses a single receiver so cannot determine which reading relates to which corner of the vehicle. There are third party apps that can display this information which Thackeray has linked to. For the vehicles that display the tyre pressures, a more expensive system is used with multiple receivers so the position of each tyre can be determined, and will correctly display each corner even if the wheels have been rotated around the vehicle to even out tyre wear.
  2. Are you sure it was only 10 seconds? The alarm is meant to sound for 27.5 seconds before stopping and going back into an armed state.
  3. I think it will be tight and maybe full lock not available but I don't believe anyone has tried and confirmed either way.
  4. If it fits the RC F then it will fit the GS F. I wonder if it will only fit the rear, and if you get a puncture on the front you have to swap a rear with the front and then put the saver on the rear.
  5. I believe all the series III RXs have HID headlights which have a flat beam and therefore don't need any adjustment or deflectors. The Adaptive Front Lights feature should be turned off.
  6. Are you removing the EFI relay itself or the EFI fuse? Removing the EFI fuse removes power from the ECU; resetting the ECU would make the car feel different. Just removing the relay shouldn't remove power from the ECU so seems weird that you notice a difference after it has been removed.
  7. MOT cover has been included for at least a year or two now but wasn't always the case. It is stated in the current Lexus warranty brochure and will be in your specific terms/contract if you have it. When I had my last service, which needed an MOT at the same time, I just informed my dealer so they didn't charge me for the MOT.
  8. I don't have the specific setting for the RX350 but I'd suspect both are 49 Nm. That is the setting for the IS200, LS430, RX300 series I, GS300 etc.
  9. It could just be related to the annual price review/increase rather than an end to two year pricing. Warranty pricing is revised 1 Jan every year. I'm not really sure how they can legally continue to call it a 2 for 1 offer, it has been that way for years. At what point does it cease being an offer and just becomes standard?
  10. It depends what country you are in but should be documented in your service book. Those figures above aren't correct for the UK.
  11. Yes I'd say that is correct and the alarm went off because it detected the battery voltage to have dropped below a certain threshold which it interprets as the battery being disconnected in an attempt to disable the alarm. What code reader did you use? Sounds like it isn't able to display non-engine or vendor specific codes.
  12. It could be either but given the battery is essentially a consumable item you should assume it as the likely cause and check that first. If you start the engine and switch on the headlights, does the brightness increase if you rev the engine - that indicates the alternator is at least doing something.
  13. The owner could still accidentally switch the charger to 24v mode, if it has one, which is another reason why they cover themselves by stating you need to disconnect the vehicle. Even using a desulphation or repair mode which outputs close to 16v isn't desirable, although it is unlikely to cause an issue with Toyota electronics.
  14. Yeah the Met had 11 initially, not sure if they have more now. A couple of the London universities have some. There is a London taxi firm that has 50 of them. In total there are close to 200 in the UK, but these are all the first generation vehicle, not the second gen pictured above.
  15. I agree but we get into the world of opinion and interpretation which is difficult to overturn. The owners manual isn't going to help here as that normally states that a VSC warning should be checked out immediately by your dealer and you have a compromised stability/braking system - if it stated the light may illuminate just because your fuel filler cap is loose, or your battery is a little discharged then you would have a way to argue your case.
  16. No ruling around the year of the vehicle, if it has some form of stability control:
  17. RECALL INFORMATION Notification of Recall Fuel Pump Replacement March 2020 Lexus UK has issued a safety recall for a limited amount of Lexus cars, due to an issue with the low-pressure fuel pump, located in the fuel tank. The issue relates to a concern that these fuel pumps include impellers which may have been manufactured with lower density. In this condition, the impeller may deform to a point that creates interference with the fuel pump body to cause the fuel pump to become inoperative. The following Lexus UK models have been recalled, these vehicles were produced between September 2013 and May 2019: •GS250/450H •LC500/500H •LS460 •LS500/500H •LS600H •NX200T •RX450H Check if your specific vehicle is impacted here: https://forms.toyota.co.uk/recall-checker?lexus=true
  18. I have the equivalent of this in my GS and previous IS - good quality and the non-slip section works well. https://www.bootsliners.co.uk/lexus-rx-boot-liner-2009-onwards.html
  19. What sort of noise? When it is is in neutral and the engine idling? Was the flywheel checked over when the clutch was looked at? The dual-mass flywheel can develop a noise.
  20. It is very difficult to say. The first thing to check, which I should have mentioned, is to get the level checked. If it is low then you can experience shuddering. If there was coolant in the transmission then you need to refresh as much of the fluid as possible (not just a drain/refill of the pan) and change the filter. Whether the water as affected the clutches isn't possible to know without stripping it down or just seeing how it performs.
  21. You may want to take a sample of the transmission fluid and get an oil analysis on it. There are several companies in the UK that perform this - you want to know the amount of water in it. I've not used any of these companies so cannot recommend one but just google transmission oil analysis uk and you will get some results - maybe worth calling them to make sure they will be able to detect coolant as part of their test before ordering. Costs around £30.
  22. You don't need to worry about the radio, it will store the settings. Not sure if you can just unbolt the +ve terminal and the lead/fuse can be moved out of the way you you need to do more - should become clear when you start to remove it. You should get a battery with a vent but I don't think it really needs to be an AGM as you have protection within the cabin as the boot is sealed off, unlike the RX for example.
