  1. Premium Nav or standard? Never had an issue on my 2013 model with premium nav and an iPhone (not an X) but I'd normally use the wired connection as sound quality is better.
  2. As the 400h has its battery in the engine bay it gets dirty and subject to moisture. Definitely worth cleaning it every year to stop a resistive path being formed across the top of the battery and adding to the drain. You can measure how bad it is with a voltmeter - I think I read over 1 volt once on my old 400h.
  3. Leak in the heater matrix? Worth checking your coolant level. Otherwise you may have a windscreen that isn't 100% bonded.
  4. yeah 1207B is the general one used on the engine. It is meant to ok with normal coolant but the long life variety can break it down over time. I think if you use it you will be ok for a number of years. I believe you are meant to let it cure for at least two hours before letting oil or coolant contact it.
  5. Most tyre shops have Nitrogen if you want that instead of air. Tyre pressures are maintained for longer with Nitrogen.
  6. Panasonic FR are more than good enough - high temp, high endurance, low ESR. 47μF - 63v - 13p from RS, problem is you need to purchase 200 of them 😞 https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/aluminium-capacitors/9232827/ Farnell will sell you one, but is going to cost you over three times that of RS, at 41p. They have over 15,000 of them in stock! https://uk.farnell.com/panasonic/eeufr1j470/cap-47-f-63v-20/dp/2760347
  7. It possibly is, but if there are no marking on it to indicate it is an AGM then just use your Ctek in standard mode as that is suitable for most AGM batteries and won't put the voltage too high in case it is a standard battery.
  8. That only saves the battery in your key fob not the vehicle's battery. You need to turn off the smart door locking within the menu of the vehicle to disable the feature which will stop the vehicle sending out signals to try and find a nearby key.
  9. The FIPG black 1282b is meant to be suitable for the pink long life coolant. The more standard black FIPG is more suited to oil and may break down after a number of years being exposed to the coolant although I suspect many dealers wouldn't use the correct one. If you ask a Toyota dealer for 08826-00100, are they saying they cannot supply it in this country?
  10. Possibly not the best example as servicing of the aircon system isn't deemed an owner's task and therefore wouldn't be in the owners manual. In fact doing it incorrectly in the UK could mean you are breaking the law. For the competent person, they would know to look in the engine bay where there is an information sticker stating ND11 is required on Lexus hybrid vehicles.
  11. Lexus/Toyota dealers should be able to supply touch up paint but you will get a better result using something like this: https://www.chipex.co.uk
  12. I doubt you would get one much cheaper than is one for £688 from a Lexus dealer. https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/parts/lexus-ct/lexus-ct-2010-onwards/lexus-ct-engine-service-kits/lexus-ct-phase-1-exhaust-front-section-and-catalytic-convertor/ An aftermarket one would be cheaper: https://www.cats2u.co.uk/lexus/35435-lexus-ct200h-18-catalytic-converter-04-14-on-bm92675h-bm92675h.html
  13. I think the plugs are Denso FK20HBR11. Even if worn they won't make much difference to the economy unless you were also feeling hesitation during acceleration. Whilst the plugs are changed at 60k miles, they are probably good for at least 100k miles. Worth checking the brake callipers (rear) aren't binding/seized.
  14. Nothing uses the traction battery when not in Ready mode, and everything uses it when in Ready mode. Dropping 1 bar on the display after 10 to 15 mins seems normal to me even if just using the radio as all the vehicle electronics are powered up too - if you have the AC on then the compressor is also being powered by the traction battery.
  15. 1. Economy will be worse in cold weather, due to the hybrid battery not having as much usable capacity when cold and the ICE having to run more to keep the coolant temperature high which is used for the cabin heater. 2. This is normal, especially if the cabin temperature is set higher than the actual air temperature - the system will make the ICE run to provide heat for the cabin. 3. 12v 'aux' battery is small because it isn't used to start the engine - it is therefore easy to discharge it. Always put the vehicle in Ready mode so the hybrid system is powering the vehicle and charging the aux battery. 6. Engine oil should be changed every 10k miles/12 months. Brake fluid every 20k miles/2 years. Plugs every 60k miles. Not sure about air filter on your model, probably every 40k miles/4 years but certainly check it every 20k miles/2 years. Coolant at 100k miles, and then every 50k miles. 7. Fuel filter at attached to the pump in the tank. It doesn't need to be routinely changed.
  16. I'd recommend using Denso IK20 plugs https://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/denso-spark-plug-ik20 Make sure the throttle body and MAF sensor is clean. You possibly need to look at the fuel injectors, they may well be leaking and/or not spraying correctly and need to be replaced.
  17. Being made in China doesn't indicate a level of quality. Things can be made poorly and extremely well there, it is down to design, manufacturing plant, component quality, worker education, time allocated to each task etc. The Telsas coming out of the US have poor quality problems too. Partly because Tesla lack the knowledge of how to design a vehicle and an assembly line that can allow cars to be mass produced at an acceptable quality.
  18. Hi Elmer Engine and trac lights can come on for a number of reasons from not having the fuel cap on tightly to a sensor or mechanical fault. You really need to connect a fault reader to get the specific error code to help narrow down where the fault is. As it may be something specific or common to the GX I'd recommend you post your question to our US sister site as the GX isn't sold here in the UK so we don't have the specific knowledge you may need. https://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/
  19. engine oil, 0W-20 every 10k miles/12 months air filter every 40k miles/4 years plugs 60k miles coolant (both engine and hybrid inverter) Toyota S-LLC premixed (pink) at 100k miles then at every 50k miles thereafter brake fluid every 20k miles/2 years rear diff GL-5 every 40k miles/4 years transmission fluid (Toyota ATF WS) inspect every 40k miles/4 years - in theory doesn't need replacing unless on the severe maintenance schedule which is then inspect every 30k/3 years and replace every 60k/6 years.
  20. There is a permanent 12v connection in the fuse box, under a cover, and you then use the engine/body for the -ve connection.
  21. No not on the hybrids. I believe there is an LSD option on the North American IS350s but that would have the wrong gear ratio for the 300h.
  22. Easiest way is to use the charging point in the engine bay, otherwise you have to remove trim in the boot to get to the battery.
  23. As others have stated, better to use a battery charger in this situation. However my understanding is the vehicle will push up to 10 Amps into the battery, and based on figures quoted from 10A battery chargers you are looking at around 4+ hours to full charge a flat battery the size of which is fitted to the GS300h.
