  1. Did you deadlock your vehicle? Try using a little more force with the key, the mechanisms can get stiff if they haven't been used for a long time.
  2. You won't get BSM or RCTA with the Premium pack, you need Premium Plus.
  3. Probably won't be, but not a bad thing considering the OEM ones squeal. OEM use Galfer 5032 material. I also use Redstuff.
  4. No but I believe Silkmen has: https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/125196-rcf-brake-pads/?do=findComment&comment=1142866&_rid=3469
  5. This is a good place for OEM discs https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/lexus/gs-grl1-gwl1/117800/10132/brake-disc
  6. Correct it is the same. You have Android Auto/CarPlay as an alternative to using the Lexus system if you wished. Shouldn't make much difference if at all. All the FWD non-Takumi grades are in the same 22 group, even the F Sport. Strangely Direct Line didn't recognise/care about any packs to my wife's car. So in theory a fully loaded base grade UX would cost the same as a completely stock one to insure even though it has a list price of £9k more.
  7. They should just work - they don't need to be coded. You only run into problems where you are putting in a seat with different functionality to what you currently have (e.g. no-memory vs memory seats).
  8. Original press release amarillo-the-yellow-rose-of-lexus.pdf
  9. It was meant to be 50x IS200 with the aero bodykit - one for each dealer at the time. Possibly there was one or two more for head office. It wasn't available as an SE. It wasn't officially available as an IS300. There was talk of Lexus GB doing an official special import but don't know if it happened. They were available in other countries. The yellow coloured vehicles were sold outside of GB so there are some imports around.
  10. It is the hybrid system pressurising the braking system - normal. Noisy heater, possible air in the system but it shouldn't have been touched to get air in it. Do you mean 100k service, not 60k? If the vehicle is a 2011 then it is due its 100k miles/10 year service which will replace the engine coolant.
  11. Toyota GB own the warranty in the UK (well I guess GB rather than UK) so yes it will be different to what Toyota/Lexus Europe or individual countries do.
  12. Not a problem if they are all the same age. They don't allow newer tyres on the front.
  13. Michelin CC are a combination of summer and winter tyres and are therefore a compromise between the two. Due to the fact they are designed to operate in light snow the tread pattern doesn't move as much water as a good summer tyre on a full wet test above 8 deg C.
  14. It is generally recommended across the industry that new tyres should go on the rear as loss of grip on the rear is harder to control than on the front. Costco take it to an extreme and refuse not to do this - if your front tyres are low they are happy to replace those and swap the rears over for you but they won't let you leave with the new tyres being fitted to the front (unless you have staggered tyre sizes so the front/rears cannot be rotated).
  15. Costco regularly have deals on Michelins. If you are a member then it is certainly worth waiting for one of their offers. If you just want new front tyres you need to be prepared to swap them over yourself after you have them fitted as Costco will only fit new tyres to the rear.
  16. Yeah, just looks like the adhesive as expanded/contracted over time and come away from one of the panels and cracked the paint. Really shouldn't be an issue.
  17. Michelin CrossClimates are excellent. Take noise ratings with a pinch of salt though - it is measured as sound at the kerb, not inside and some manufacturers deliberately design their tyres to direct noise away from the kerb and into the vehicle to obtain a good rating. It is also measured on road surfaces that don't represent the majority of UK roads, and a tyre that is quiet on one type of surface doesn't mean it will be on another. FYI, 3 dB is double not 2 dB.
  18. 12.25 shows a level of discharge but doesn't mean the battery is beyond use. I'd recommend it is charged fully using a battery charger with an AGM setting. You would need to use the vehicle, or keep it in 'Ready' mode for at least a couple of hours to charge it via the vehicle so best to use a charger. Cheapest place to get a genuine battery is Lexus Swindon, but as you say on back order everywhere: https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/parts/lexus-is/lexus-is-phase-iii-2013-present/lexus-is-3-engine-service-kits/lexus-is-phase-3-12v-starter-battery/
  19. Definitely looks orange (Blazing Carnelian) on my monitor.
  20. I think you get use to it - it isn't as easy as a touch screen but the display is put up high and towards the windscreen out of reach so you don't have to take your eyes off the road to glance at it. For most things bar the Sat Nav you have physical buttons to press so you don't have to use the pad that much if you don't want to.
  21. Certainly clear all the code, if they don't come back then it was possibly just a spurious event. Was your 12v battery a bit flat at the time perhaps? If there is a problem then the faults will come back at which point you will need to investigate further.
  22. Ouch 😬 No, the IS300 crankshaft timing pulley isn't compatible with the IS200 engine. You need part 13521-70050 The crankshaft pulley (harmonic balancer) is 13407-70090
  23. Agreed, certainly not as quick as a 400h or 450h but comparable to the OPs RX300 so that shouldn't be an issue. 🙂
