  1. Where did you get the Saturn V from? It has been discontinued for a while now.
  2. I think the normal warning is around 500m. But the system only alerts you if you are on the road that contains the camera. Therefore if you turn onto a road that contains a camera closer than 500m you get the alert instantly but you could be almost at the location.
  3. Not 100% sure but I believe they should physically fit. The wiring for the indicator will not be there, not sure if the connector is different to stop the existing wiring from connecting easily.
  4. Yes they have just reinforced the statement made by the OP. Announce a concept to be released in 4 years time - the competition are releasing vehicles now. They are however committing to EVs:
  5. AEG was good back then. For the last 15 years they have been part of Electrolux, and most models are no longer built in Germany.
  6. My understanding is the Parrot system isn't that easy to install as plug 'n play leads aren't available for all Lexus models and they normally have an issue with a stereo and separate amp system which most RXs have. The other system interface into the AVC bus and pretend they are a CD changer
  7. If you aren't just getting a constant flash when you short the two terminates then you have error codes which the light pattern is displaying. What are your error codes? The example above show error 13 (1 short pause 3), longer pause to indicate next error then error 33, then extra long pause to show end of error sequence and then repeat starting with error 13 again.
  8. MOST is communication between headunit and amp. These are the only two devices connected to this system, therefore it has to be a problem with one of them or the cabling that goes between them. You can get into the diagnostics by using the following procedure: Turn the power switch on (IG). Wait for navigation map to appear. While pressing and holding the "MENU" switch, operate the light control switch: Off → Tail → Off → Tail → Off → Tail → Off. Diagnostic mode starts and the "Service Menu" screen will be displayed. Service inspection starts automatically and the result will be displayed. Then go to failure diagnostic > system check > select MOST from the error list and perform MOST Line Check.
  9. Q3 2020 figures show 95 taxed and 1 SORN. But there have been a total of 119 registered - I guess some have been written off and others exported to Ireland.
  10. You don't really want to ever see it full because it means regeneration braking has to be disabled because there is no where to store the recovered energy. If you travel for long enough down a slope then you will see it but it is quite rare to see it in normal driving.
  11. There are two convertors, one that takes the hybrid battery voltage and boosts it to a max of 650 VDC. The other reduces the hybrid battery voltage to around 14 VDC for the vehicle electrics. The inverter takes the 650 VDC from the boost convertor and converts that into 3 phase AC to power the electric motor. The convertors use a switching design with transistors. The AC-DC-AC part is when the AC generated by MG1 (being driven from the ICE) is converted to DC and then back to AC to drive MG2. It is precisely because of a frequency change is required. This is all taken care of within the inverter.
  12. It's an easy quick way to gain connectivity but FM transmitters aren't the best quality, and depending where you live it can be difficult to find an unused frequency to use. If you travel long journeys then you will be retuning during the trip to find unused frequencies.
  13. I wouldn't have a problem getting a Neff/Bosch hob. Gas hobs are very reliable, not much to go wrong. An important thing is getting something that has spares available. Neff/Bosch sell their spares directly to the public and normally support for at least 10 years.
  14. It's real wood. A veneer that is sandwiched between plastic backing and a resin coat to protect it from warping/fading etc. Personally I don't like the darker/orangey wood, I think the maple looked much better. There used to be sticker kits to put over them to give you an aluminium or carbon fibre look, I'm sure they are still out there but you don't see them as much now that the vehicle isn't sold anymore. But I assume any wrapping company can cover them in whatever look you want.
  15. Probably the best option is from Vais, either their aux input or bluetooth input. https://www.vaistech.com/product/sl3u/ Otherwise Grom make devices compatible with your vehicle. https://www.gromaudio.co.uk/partfinder/product/result/?make=Lexus&model=RX&year=2007-2009 All are a little temperamental sometimes as the main system wasn't designed for such add-ons. No experience with the unit you linked to - in theory it should work like the units above and given the price might be worth trying.
  16. Welcome Rich 🙂
  17. Sure https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/about-my-lexus/my-lexus-portal/lexus-link#features-table
  18. It is dependant on the age of the vehicle. For the MY2020 NX you get full LexusLink functionality so you can see the charge state of your 12v aux battery. That would be quite useful for a number of people who have suffered flat batteries during Covid lockdowns due to lack of use of the vehicle.
  19. I guess there are always bad models and/or a rogue device that gives problems but Vaillant and Worcester Bosch are the two most reliable brands - top the Which? report every year for reliability. My Vaillant has been going for 20 years now, it has had a new pump and fan in that time but these fail on any boiler over time.
  20. Plugs, diff oil etc. are at specific intervals in addition to the regular major service items. Your service booklet should clearly list what needs doing and when.
  21. I'd recommend you replace the radiator as a priority over the ATF. The LS430 has been known to have failures of the transmission fluid cooler within the radiator resulting in coolant entering the transmission.
  22. Yes, you need to use the rubber attachments otherwise you are going to put pressure on unreinforced floor/sill or roll over the seam.
  23. I've some Neff appliances, and they haven't been too bad. Siemens/Bosch/Neff are the same company and the models are built to a price, so the more you pay the better the quality, but it is the same with German cars; there is a perception they are extremely reliable, but many here have a Lexus for a reason...
