  1. The main 'benefit' to these is the intake noise you get. If that is something you want then go for it. Power benefits aren't really there on its own - the standard system isn't that restrictive, nor does the air get excessively heated by the engine to benefit from a colder supply. If you were doing it in conjunction with a free flow exhaust and de-cat then you may start to see benefits from modifying the intake but you are never going to get much of a power increase from the 250 engine other than forced induction (turbo or supercharger).
  2. For the 300h yes, but the 450h F Sport has rear-wheel steering, variable ratio steering and adaptive suspension which all improve handling.
  3. European ES uses NiMH. But the hybrid system itself is a generation ahead of the GS though so is more efficient, as is the petrol engine. Historically it sat in a segment below in countries that sold both (e.g. USA).
  4. It's an SE-L Premier then, unless it is some early pre-launch demonstrator before the UK spec was officially locked down. I've certainly seen other models in the past with a spec that doesn't fully match the 'official' spec. Both the SE-L and Premier had air suspension. Maybe yours has been converted to standard springs, or again an early model before specs were properly set.
  5. It sounds like you have an SE-L Premier rather than just an SE-L. PCS was standard fitment for the Premier in 2009. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/94267-rx-450h-series-3-equipment-specifications-2009-2015/
  6. Agreed. It doesn't appear to have the front spoiler which the Brabus ones had.
  7. I think because ion generators create a small amount of ozone it could be an irritant to asthma sufferers you have the ability to turn it off. Also people with super sensitive hearing may be able to hear a high pitched noise from the generator.
  8. It uses moisture from the air, and the ion process kills bacteria and viruses.
  9. 60k miles is the big one - expensive due to plug change. The 100k mile/10 year service is just a standard 20k major service plus engine coolant. Get the radiator changed at the same time to avoid changing the coolant twice.
  10. GS F colours The first 8 available at launch. Cadoxton Slate replaced Mercury Grey in 2017 and Solar Flare removed for 2018.
  11. According to your service history booklet, when was your vehicle last serviced? It should be serviced at 10,000 miles or 12 months after the last service (whichever occurs first).
  12. No, because the terms of the warranty state you must keep to the service schedule and the service schedule states the plugs are to be changed at 60k miles. 🙂
  13. It is the coolant filler for the engine so you may get some coolant come out. Only do it if the engine is cold.
  14. There is no offer in your mail shot, it is the standard pricing available to all. The whole 2 for 1 'offer' has been that way for years and is like a DFS sale. Having said that, for what you get it is good value for money. If you have an LS if would be £2,395, so by comparison you have a good deal. Certainly the bigger cars have the potential for larger repair bills but pricing is also down to parts availability (which are more available for the volume vehicles) and list price of the vehicle (and therefore what the owner can potentially afford).
  15. looks like the complete glovebox needs to come out and disconnect the battery before touching the knee airbag.
  16. Autosteer, part of autopilot, requires lane markings. Normally used for dual-carriage and motorways. Lexus' lane guidance system is similar in that regard but very limited in actual ability compared to the Tesla system. Full autonomous driving, or even city/town autosteer where white lines at the side of the road aren't required, isn't a launched feature yet.
  17. I think Andrew only started it the other day and posted on this CT200h thread - so we need to get the word out https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/127900-lexus-ct200h-cat-theft/?do=findComment&comment=1178029&_rid=3469
  18. They are two different systems. The speed limit warning on the F Sport is a single fixed speed at which you are alerted (e.g. 75 mph). The one in conjunction with the road sign system is a warning above whatever speed the system thinks the limit is at the time. If you have an F Sport with road sign recognition then you have both systems.
  19. A lot will be through leasing schemes in conjunction with salary sacrifice via your employer. BIK on EVs is only 1% this year and 2% for the next couple of years after that, so big savings can be had.
  20. Or even the 3rd gen section 😉
