  4. That's not true. The GS F was available in the US, Australia and Japan (possible other countries too). Europe didn't get the GS F as it has already been decided to end of sale the whole range. RC F was available in US, Australia, Japan and Europe.

  6. We will have to see - hopefully that is the case. However a model being worldwide doesn't mean the infotainment system is the same. They have to use different headunits in different territories, and the RX, GS, IS are all worldwide vehicles but the US has always had a different and more capable system to what we get in the UK.
  7. Strange that the Fuji Speedway edition is so much more expensive compared to the UK TE and it doesn't come with the TVD. The base RC F is around $66k vs £65k so $ to £ comparable but the FS/TE is $97k vs £82k
  8. I'd say yes, in the same way the dealers where responsible for ensuring a vehicle was fault free before allowing an extended warranty to be taken out. Obviously not every single thing can be checked, but a service should pick up most things. At time of a warranty claim the dealer would do normal due diligence (e.g. making sure a faulty part hadn't been swapped onto the car to get a free repair for a friend) but again that is impossible to 100% police.
  9. Exactly. The same with any warranty/insurance; you have to take it out before there is a fault/claim otherwise no one would purchase the warranty unless a fault developed.
  10. It is the series II hybrid that doesn't have air suspension (400h). Both the RX300 and RX350 in SE-L grade had air suspension. If you want to avoid air then get the base RX350 or RX350 SE grade.
  11. Possibly just some pad material unevenly distributed on the rotor. Find a quiet bit of road and do six to eight 60-10 mph hard stops one after the other (don't let the brakes cool between runs) to re-bed in the brakes.
  12. It's a continuous noise whilst braking, not a single thump? Are you able to record the sound and post here?
  13. I'd wait until you get the car and take some better pictures of the stereo headunit/dashboard and send them directly to the seller - they will be able to advise what you need.

  15. TMC has been around for a long time. Given that Toyota/Lexus later added the internet options suggest the newer method is superior. It is certainly faster at getting an initial update when first turning on your vehicle as it isn't having to wait for a radio transmission.
  16. If the ECU has been cleared, purposely to remove error codes or by a flat battery, then they won't be able to complete a hybrid health check. They rely on the system doing an element of self-diagnosis which periodically takes place and will store pending or real error codes which the health check will read. The 600km distance is to ensure (as much as possible) that all conditions and tests would have been completed. This is the same for all Lexus and Toyota vehicles at any dealer - the software they use won't complete if the distance after reset isn't above the minimum limit.
  17. Not sure they will do the brake fluid - on their site they only test the fluid rather than change it. There is a special procedure to change the fluid on a hybrid which they may not be familiar with.
  18. I'd suggest contacting them for more information. You won't need the nav computer or hard drive as it is all built into the screen (tablet). Not sure if it needs an antenna or not. They seem to do different versions depending whether you have an existing mouse controller/Nav installed or not. That suggests they have a configuration that works with your existing stereo.
  19. The Model 3 quality issues are now mainly resolved; the made in China models seem to be consistency good and all UK cars are now coming from the China plant. However you cannot go wrong with either, I'm sure you will be extremely happy when it arrives.

  21. I'd guess between £55k and £60k. One of those pure EVs is going to be cheaper.
  22. You would also need the navigation computer with HDD, GPS cabling and antenna. Not sure if it will directly link to your existing stereo or you need an upgraded one but the cabling would need to be changed too. All possible, and if you have a donor vehicle to get all the parts from it won't be too bad but it is a lot of effort to end up with a Navigation system that isn't actually that good. You would be better off getting the monitor housing and fitting in an after market Android system.   23. Nothing really to look out for on the NX other than the general things to look for on any vehicle. Try and test drive a model that is the same age as what you are looking to purchase. Certainly don't test a face lift model if you are going to purchase a pre-facelift one. The newer ones are quieter and definitely do not rev the engine as much when mildly accelerating, which given your dislike of the Prius may annoy you.
  24. The new hybrid electric NX 350h uses fourth generation Lexus hybrid technology. Power is greater by 22 per cent compared to the current model, taking output to 239bhp and improving 0-62 acceleration by 15 per cent to 7.7 seconds. At the same time, CO2 emissions are expected to fall by around 10 per cent. The model will be available with front and all-wheel drive (possibly not FWD in the UK), both with a 1.5-tonne towing capacity.
