No. They change it every 20 years 🙂 The older one is better than current IMO.

Has your vehicle been software upgraded to support CarPlay? If not then I'd recommend getting your dealer to do that, costs £80. Once you have CarPlay functionality the maps you use is whatever apps you have installed on your iPhone.

The picture is from the US where sunroof is standard and ML and orange callipers are options. In the UK you are correct, sunroof and ML where the two options - no choice with the orange callipers. AVS also wasn't an option. That just got fitted as standard for MY17 onwards.

That's not true, unless they can prove you were either driving dangerously or driving without due care and attention. When operating vehicle controls you MUST exercise proper control of your vehicle at all times.

Is it a UK vehicle? Is it just brake bulb, or brake + rear light?

Both options are available. Tein FlexZ coilovers are a good option but depends how low and if you want it adjustable or not.

C1378 is related to the brake control redundant power supply, and its communication to the skid control module, so has nothing to do with the wheel sensors. What they are saying is correct, assuming they have ruled out a wiring issue which Lexus list as the first thing to check (and therefore most likely thing to cause the fault).

The units are meant to be sealed so moisture doesn't get in. Drilling a hole could just make it worse - yes it might allow what is there to dry out but the next rainy day you are just going to get more moisture in there which will over time cause issues with the chrome plating. Best to remove from the car, put in the oven, break open the seal and reseal with silicon adhesive/sealant.

Depends what seized. Normally just the sliding pins which clean up and work again fine. If the pistons have seized then yes. They have done well to last that long, normally after 6 years old the sliding pins will start to seize up. Unfortunately Lexus don't make it part of their routine servicing even though the floating design is known to always cause problems; they would rather sell you a new calliper.

No. Possibly just the journeys the previous owner was doing - e.g. lots of roundabouts, using multi-story car parks. Worth asking for the wheel alignment to be checked as well. If the vehicle can be upgraded to CarPlay/Android Auto it would be worth asking for that to be done as part of the deal. Otherwise there really isn't anything to look out other than corrosion on the brake rotors, especially the rears.

It certainly takes some time - most of that time they just leave it installing which is why you aren't having to pay £150+ per hour to get it installed. Certainly worth it for £80. You get a choice of what Navigation app to use (Apple maps, Google maps, Waze) which are all better than the built in nav with better real-time updates. You can use Spotify, the vehicle will read out text messages (reliability) and a user interface that is easier to use when on the move compared to the Lexus system. You have access to other apps too such as Audiobooks, Audible, Webex if you need to join a conference call etc. You can still use the Lexus system if you want - and use both, so you can put on the radio and then switch to CarPlay for Navigation for example.

No it won't directly cause them to seize and it is certainly better than nothing however copper grease is abrasive and is only normally put on things that don't move. Over time the grease could wear the rubber boots/seals at a higher rate than normal which would allow the grease to come out and water to get in - so eventually they would seize again. But you need ideally need to re-grease them every couple of years anyway. Worth putting some paint or clear coat on them as the paint will have been cracked or come away and the steel will rust if left as is.
