  1. Yes it should have one. If you purchased from a Lexus dealer make it their problem, they will have to order a replacement and post it around to the previous dealers who carried out the services to get the stamps.
  2. Cost saving is the only reason I can think of. All the newly designed models have flooded batteries (series IV RX, ES, UX).
  3. The IS-F brakes won't clear all designs of 18" rims so be careful if you do consider this. As you say, from a performance point of view they would be overkill, but so are the stock brakes 😉
  4. There is really only two things that have a high current connection to the battery that wouldn't otherwise blow a fuse, the alternator and starter. Worth disconnecting each in turn and testing them + see if the vehicle's electrics come alive without them connected. Or you have a faulty battery, that has failed in quite a catastrophic way - do you have another one you can use, or charge up the one you have and have it load tested (not connected to the vehicle).
  5. The 4.3 V8 and 6-speed auto (face-lift model) is probably as smooth as you can get for petrol engine/auto transmission combination - changes are almost unnoticeable for normal driving, only hard acceleration would you feel the change (other than a very occasional mis-shift in traffic (1st/2nd gear)). Obviously it cannot be as smooth as a CVT in terms of the transmission but the V8 engine itself is smoother than the V6.
  6. Not sure it has been specifically done on the NX before but yes people have used them on other Lexus hybrids (and Prius vehicles). It's just a case of finding one that will physically fit (possibly something larger than 65ah will be achievable as the battery is larger than the one in a Prius series II or III).
  7. Textar are the OEM for the pads so discs likely to be from them too. They were also using Advics outside of Europe pre-facelift but just seem to use Textar for all now.
  8. yes, if it isn't already full then you should add more via that.
  9. As I posted previously, the quality of the documentation currently available is poor so it is impossible to know if it is or isn't available.
  10. I think that even if you disable that functionality, the button on the dashboard still works. I don't believe there is a fuse specifically for the motor - it gets power from the body ECU in the driver's door (if that didn't have power then none of the locks would work). It suggests there is a problem with the lock/motor assembly itself, wiring or the glovebox switch that disables the motor it is fault and is electrically stuck on. The key mechanism uses a physical cable to the lock which explains why that still works.
  11. The 845 figure is fake anyway. The system uses a Class D amp and Lexus quote what wattage would be needed for a Class A to achieve the same sound output. It's also a peak figure not a continuous RMS figure, which the amp capacitors deliver rather than pulling from the battery.
  12. It is kind of off-topic to your initial statement/query but answering this specific question a detailer can, not a car dealership 😉 Dealers don't employ paint detailing experts and will introduce swirls to the paintwork that most owners won't care about but some do (hence why they tell the dealership to not wash their vehicle). Back to your original statement about washing - I'd normally expect a Lexus dealer to wash/clean a vehicle unless they were told not to. My local dealer does even just for an MOT.
  13. No, because 95 E5 and 95 E10 both have the same minimum octane rating of RON 95 - that doesn't change. Octane is a measurement of knock/compression resistance, not energy - 95 E5 and E10 are blended to achieve the same rating. The 1998 cut off is because they don't have records/don't want to research further back/want to sell you a new vehicle rather than the vehicle is definitely not compatible with E10.
  14. The current brochure is full of errors, contradictions and spelling mistakes so I wouldn't rely on it at all. The US brochure suggests the 450h can have a pano roof so I'd expect it to be available in Europe. Worth speaking to your dealer and try and get them to confirm with head office (ideally Japan not UK).
  15. normally it is just the hard press on the button to auto open/close the windows fully that needs initialising, rather than them not working at all. The system has to learn the motor stall current so it can correctly detect when the window has come to a stop, either at the extent of the travel or an object has created resistance (safety feature).
  16. No, unfortunately not. You would need a delay circuit connected to a permanent feed. Something like this (without wiring up the door switch connection). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271538416211
  17. The sonic paints look great, but be aware that any paint repair ends up in the need for a full panel respray costing £1000+ as you cannot get a spot repair to be invisible.
  18. The grades with 20" wheels have run flat tyres. Grades with 18" wheels seem to have normal tyres, and the brochure cannot make up its mind if they come with a spare wheel or goo:
  19. Cloudburst Gray is an American name for the paint code 1L1 (called Sonic Grey in the UK) which seems to be available in the UK according to the Sept 21 price list/brochure.
  20. You should get a charger FOC: Customers who pre-order an NX 450h+ model in September and October have the added benefit of qualifying for the free supply of an Alfen Eve S Line charge point with free standard installation by British Gas.
  21. If it was the reason it isn't a concern for Toyota/Lexus anymore as the current series IV RX and ES300h have flooded batteries in the boot.
  22. Hill-start assist controls the brakes by maintaining the master cylinder fluid pressure produced by the driver depressing the brake pedal. After 2 seconds that pressure is released (or before if the accelerator is pressed). Whether the vehicle maintains it's stationary position, rolls back or creeps forward is to do with the hybrid system, independently of hill-start assist.
  23. The cooling system is sealed. The coolant cannot disappear unless there is a leak or the pressure within the system gets too high and it is forced out. Fill it back up with distilled water and take it for a good drive to see if the level drops.
  24. Which means Toyota aren't going to design their vehicles to try and stop this. If the cat is more difficult to steal on some models it is just a happy coincidence 😞 The next gen NX will probably be like current NX with a GPF - cats only in the engine bay. Not to stop theft, but because the GPF replaces the secondary cat under the vehicle.
