  1. Yes it would, provided there was no outside influence that caused the transmission to fail.
  2. Definitely worth checking tyre pressures. For Europe, TPMS will trigger once pressures drop to 20% below the initialisation pressure, so certainly enough to feel a difference if only one side is low even without a warning light coming on.
  3. Once you undo them they should just pull out if they aren't completely stuck - use some locking pliers on the end to rotate and pull them at the same time. You can then clean/replace the pins easily, cleaning out the calliper carrier holes are more tricky if it is corroded.
  4. Cambridge will make them for the North American market. Kyushu will built all European vehicles, both LHD and RHD.
  5. Azure blue is 8X1. USB is 8U1. Always go by the paint code as names are different in different countries which causes confusion. In the US people often refer to 8X1 as Ultrasonic Blue V2.0. Look on your VIN plate if unsure. It's very difficult/impossible for a touch up to 100% match a 5 layer sonic paint 😞
  6. Battery/alternator fault? Cannot see E10 being anything to do with this - it has a long term effect on the fuel system, no something that would cause a problem within a few days - certainly other things need to be ruled out before you starting thinking about the fuel system.
  7. I don't see it being a problem. Hybrids work well at low speeds when the electric motor can assist more than at motorway speeds, and whilst you won't get near the manufacturer's mpg figures if you are going up and down hills all the time you will benefit from the engine being able to cut out when coming down them, along with energy recovery from the regen. braking.
  8. I'd imagine so but remember the rating is the noise they make at the kerbside 1m away - and clever engineering can divert sound into cabin and away from the outside to improve the rating. Bottom line is don't use the rating as a strong decision criteria when selecting a tyre.
  9. The bottom one is the Check Engine Light (CEL) / Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL). The engine warning light on the dashboard. Either it is on, indicating a fault - or it has been tampered with/bulb blown so it doesn't light up. When you first turn on the ignition it should come on, then go out once the engine starts if there are no errors.
  10. Seems strange that a filter would make that much difference - did you leave the polythene bag around it LOL. Any other changes at the time and could also account for the mpg difference? Started to use E10 rather than E5 fuel 😉 Personally I'd stick with the Denso filter, they aren't that expensive and don't need to be changed that often. Many of the cheaper replacements don't seal well in addition to questionable filtration properties.
  11. It almost certainly will be included, just one of a number of mistakes made on the brochure.
  12. Difficult to tell but worth looking around the exhaust manifolds for cracks - does it happen more when cold, when you rev etc? Certainly not bad like this:
  13. As I said, all the discs have all the roads: For Germany - central disc has 1.1 million km of road length and thousands of POIs. The West disc has the same amount of roads but not the POIs: With the old CD based systems you only had detailed road maps for a few countries per disc and just trunk roads for other countries. With the DVD based systems there is enough capacity to hold all the roads across Europe, just not all the POIs. You can check coverage here: https://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/Coverage/Map?latestPart=PZ445-X03EU-0N&currentPart=PZ445-X03EU-0M&vehicleid=IS250/220d&navigationsystemid=08
  14. Looks to be lighter. If you configure the LS on the website you can select both to compare: Titanium (which seems too dark to me compared to reality) Platinum: Always difficult to tell with Sonic colours as the perceived colour changes quite a bit with different viewing angles and lighting.
  15. Lots of ES pics here which I think is the correct colour: https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2022-lexus-es-gets-fresh-looks-improved-dynamics-159561.html No, I think that is only of the 2021 silver colours 😞
  16. It's quite a new colour - available on the LS now and many of the other models for MY22. It's called Sonic Iridium in the US - if you google that you will find more hits. The paint code is 1L2. The current LS brochure uses that colour: http://d3rvezpmgp265q.cloudfront.net/lexusone/lexgbenv11/LS-e-Brochure-110621_tcm-3157-2309078.pdf
  17. I believe there are 4 discs (North, East, West and central) and I'm sure they all have road details for the whole of the covered European countries. The difference between them is all the points of interest addresses (airports, hotels, train stations, shops, Lexus dealers etc) - the West disc for example will have way less POIs for Germany compared to the Central disc.
  18. It's a complete embarrassment: Maximum EV speed mph/kph written around the wrong way The 450h+ can have a pano roof for the base grade with Premium Pack: then it can't: Base NX grade has a spare wheel: then it only has tyre repair goo: base grade 450h+ with premium pack apparently has both 2-way and 4-way lumbar support for the driver: cannot spell litres: some random number 1 (rear 1) which has no reference: page/column formatting errors:
  19. Practical alternative to what? You have four choices: use the vehicle as it was meant, use a battery charger at least once a week to top up the battery charge lost through normal self-discharge and the small drain the alarm/stereo/central locking systems consume, let the vehicle recharge the battery by putting it in 'Ready' mode for at least an hour a week or put the battery on permanent trickle charge.
