  1. Not the F Sport, but the base grade does get Tahara in the UK without the option packs.
  2. I doubt the number of potential sales would make development worthwhile on such a low volume vehicle. But I guess the beauty of such as system is it is just a config change from LHD to RHD and different countries so maybe there is something out there - it would be out on the Chinese sites if it does exist.
  3. I'd put it as the IS250 had adequate to good power based on the demographic Lexus were intended to sell to.
  4. The spec of the F Sport claims a leather interior not Tahara, and I don't think Tahara can be perforated as it would probably split. I just think the person who authored that article got that part wrong. You shouldn't be getting those creases on such a young vehicle - warranty claim for a new seat cover.
  5. I agree it does seem an omission that should be standard. However it isn't just a configuration change. Toyota implement folding mirrors by the ECU that controls memory functions. Therefore if your vehicle doesn't have memory seats/mirrors then you don't get auto folding mirrors either. To retrofit would cost 4 figures if purchasing genuine parts. There are cheap auto fold kits on places such as AliExpress but most are for LHD vehicles, so either don't work/fit or haven't been tested on RHD vehicles.
  6. No they don't. But you just reuse the old ones provided you haven't worn your pads down enough to bring on the warning light - the system works by wearing away the detector, severing the wire connection inside, so if the pads haven't worn down to the minimum the old detector will be fine.
  7. The high pressure fuel pump is in the engine bay, I think at the back on the IS250 - not sure if it should continuously run like that or not though.
  8. Hopefully a one off. RC F and GS F were mechanically bulletproof on these forums, now we have had one transmission failure and one engine/head failure 😬
  9. I wouldn't recommend the Lexus pads because they can squeal and create a lot of dust. If you wanted to stick with Lexus genuine parts then you could go with the alternative pads that were made available for the RC F that some people had replaced under a TSB to stop squealing but for some reason Lexus GB didn't extend the TSB to the GS F (you just shouldn't put the car on a track with the alternative pads). Personally I switched to EBC Red when I had my GS F, mainly to get rid of the low speed squeal but the lower dust was welcome as was the cost saving. Nothing wrong with the Lexus discs, other than price. The Brembo aftermarket ones seem to be of the same quality as OEM, other than the anti-rust coating which has possibly been improved since Bluethunder purchased some (or there are different parts; some with and some without coatings).
  10. It's been a while since I owned an IS300h but I thought the DRLs were also the front position 'side lights'? If that is the case then disabling them would make the car unroadworthy and it would fail an MOT. If the vehicle has separate front position lights then it would be ok to disable DRLs for vehicles registered before 2018.
  11. Well it obviously isn't nonsense because the stewards reviewed the data which proved it to be the case. Not sure Max tried to cause an accident, he probably wanted Lewis to brake heavily just as Max floored it to get away. But when you are given a place back you are meant to do so safely.
  12. They will come with them - Lexus don't sell discs and pads as a set, the dealer is just putting multiple products together - the pads will come with the sensors. But don't buy these, the stock pads are horrible for road use and too expensive.
  13. Red/pink is left, green is right. There is normally an L and R engraved on the disc too. Getting it wrong will affect the cooling. Squealing is possibly due to missing clips, not using brake grease on the pad edges or not breaking in the brakes correctly.
  14. You would normally expect the thread to be stripped on an aluminium head before other damage was done but who knows. Hopefully whatever the issue is it's a one-off.
  15. It shouldn't do, if done properly. You need a float charger and not a standard or trickle charger. The CTEK and Noco both switch into a float mode once the battery is charged.
  16. If you just turn on the ignition I believe it pre-heats. Try pressing the start button without your foot on the brake.
  17. I think it is because the 2022 spec has just been firmed up and they are updating the configurator? Lexus GB issued a press release mentioning the 2022 updated suspension a few days ago so doubt it has been discontinued.
  18. hover the mouse over the username and then click message on the popup:
  19. DRLs aren't going to help. They aren't designed to light the road, they are just there to make your vehicle visible to others and legally they have to dim when you switch on your main lights. The best option would be to replace halogen headlights with HIDs or LED headlights - both types need to be self-levelling and have headlamp washers so to retrofit these legally is difficult.
  20. Then your battery is faulty or you have an electric parasitic drain fault on the vehicle. My 400h original battery lasted 8 years before I noticed it getting weak and replaced it, and the vehicle could be left for 2+ weeks without issue.
  21. Best to speak to your local Lexus dealer, they are able to supply and fit genuine CATLOCs. They may also be able to mark your vehicle with Smar****er FOC: https://mag.lexus.co.uk/catalytic-converter-theft/
  22. I believe so - number 3 in this pic although the vehicle shouldn't really be towed - just low speed/short distance to get it out of a stuck situation of to pull it onto a low loader. Not sure about the memory buttons - I would say they shouldn't based on other models also not having illuminated memory buttons.
  23. Do you have genuine Toyota oil filter? Some cheap ones don't have a non-return valve which allows oil to drain away which then takes a few seconds to build back up pressure. I assume the light was red which refers to pressure. If it is amber then it is related to the oil level. Might be worth using an oil flush and change the oil and filter. I think 10W-30 is the recommended grade for that engine, certainly for a UK climate.
  24. Not possible without making a modification. There was a company selling a module kit called LuxLink but I think they are out of business now. So you would need to make wiring modifications/add relays to do this. Search google/American Lexus forums for more info.
