  1. Everything is always confusing with Lexus’ information they put out due to poor attention to detail. The first instance should state power folding, not auto.
  2. No, just to stop a build up of sludge in the engine (which won't really happen anyway if they are using the correct Toyota fully synthetic oil) and to keep the fuel injectors clean.
  3. Here is the current equipment list: 211004M-Equip-List.pdf
  4. At the risk of repeating an earlier post of mine, you won't have the ECUs to provide memory function, or the seat/mirror/motors with positioning feedback circuitry on top of a different wiring loom and the missing buttons. I'm not defending the lack of features, but this isn't just a software lock, you haven't paid for the necessary hardware.
  5. You can purchase timed access to the official, authorised, non-pirated manual here: https://www.lexus-tech.eu
  6. It's water vapour, nothing to worry about. I've never really understood why Toyota vehicles seem to do it more than most others but all their models seem to. Hybrids suffer more as the engine isn't running as much, and is thermally efficient so it doesn't get as hot to burn off all the water in the exhaust. The engine doesn't rev up so high either (depending on your driving style) to force water out. Cold weather does make it more obvious. The difference in sound could also be due to excess water in the silencer.
  7. here's something else to get your mind around - the ECU control: 40-6.pdf
  8. Is it doing it the moment you release the brake pedal? It's as if the shift lock solenoid is making the gear shifter move - normally it would be in the correct position so there is no movement when the solenoid activates. I don't think it is the parking pawl as it looks like the parking brake is engaged then therefore there shouldn't be any movement of the vehicle.
  9. and here, not in the horrible turtl format, which is from the link on the main website 'download price list' https://d3rvezpmgp265q.cloudfront.net/lexusone/lexgbenv11/Price_Lists_Dec_2021_NX_Elr_tcm-3157-2415464.pdf
  10. There have been multiple studies but the Volvo report itself shows this over 125k miles: https://www.volvocars.com/images/v/-/media/Market-Assets/INTL/Applications/DotCom/PDF/C40/Volvo-C40-Recharge-LCA-report.pdf This is a problem. Nissan use some of their end of life / removed packs as home energy store batteries where total capacity and space isn't so critical to give them a new life. Newer battery designs coming out are more recyclable, as are batteries that use less precious or harmful materials. Things will definitely improve - we are really at the infancy of BEVs compared to decades of development in ICE.
  11. I think it is because it takes time and effort to remove the PPF if bodywork/paint repair is needed, even if the PPF itself isn't covered and won't be replaced.
  12. Yeah a PPF is the way to go but it is so expensive and problematic for some insurance companies who treat it almost like a coloured wrap.
  13. Stock friction material isn't Brembo (Galfer, material code 5032). Not sure about the aftermarket Brembo pads, probably their own material.
  14. Had he braked further and rejoined on the corner then Max would have been ahead, and Max would have probably been ordered to give the place back because he gained an unfair advantage by pushing a competitor off the circuit. It was also a first lap incident where more leeway is given and rejoining immediately on the corner was probably more dangerous that the route Lewis took. Lewis having more that 1 sec lead after the incident was down to Max going in too deep and slowing down much more than you normally would - that is the price you pay for making a lunge and it not coming off. If the stewards had ruled the other way I'd imagine they wouldn't have swapped back and just taken the 5 sec penalty instead as they were much faster in race trim than the RB.
  15. Partly because Volvo hasn't optimised their BEV manufacturing? Even so the overall lifetime pollution is less, and the upfront manufacturing pollution is mainly produced in a centralised environments (factories) where it can be better controlled/contained.
  16. Stainless manifold and exhaust is standard on the CT200h.
  17. Yes, on vehicles equipped with memory seats (i.e. only the F Sport with optional Takumi pack or the Takumi grade).
  18. He hasn't made the corner because he had to take avoiding action. Max didn't leave room. Lewis was driving the racing line and would have had no issues making the corner without interference from Max. Lewis didn't really gain an advantage, he was leading into the corning and was leading after it - the fact that the gap was bigger was mainly down to Max taking the corner at the most inefficient way, because it was a lunge designed to push the other car off the circuit.
  19. Wait for the penetrating oil to do its thing and then whilst you are moving the calliper up and down put sideways pressure on it and it should eventually start to move.
  20. It's no longer a sport after yesterday, it's an entertainment show. I've always felt the neutralisation of the race due to a safety car is unfair on the front runners who have built up a lead, but those are the rules. Just a shame the rules weren't followed and Max was allowed to attack without any concern for defending his position as only some of the back markers were moved out of the way.
  21. There is a condition about external impact damage, so if stones have chipped away the coating and allowed the steel to rust they have a get out clause. But if they are that bad and in multiple places then it cannot be all stone chip damaged and should be covered under warranty. If not then go to an independent for advise, they may just be able to rub down and paint for a fraction of the price of fitting new pipes.
  22. The advantage is it is cheap for the cover you get - Full European cover for two people (in any vehicle). The disadvantage is the cover you get may be more than you actually need/want and therefore you can get a cheaper alternative.
  23. You don't need to buy one from Lexus, but I'd stick with Denso who are the OEM. People trying to use a common O2 sensor when the upstream sensor is a more expensive an air/fuel ratio type has been the biggest problem as they are not compatible. But even when the correct type is used some non Denso sensors have caused intermittent fault codes.
  24. Merc will have set the engine mapping quite high given they have a new(ish) engine so provided they don't over do it there shouldn't be a reliability issue. RB will probably try to compete by pushing beyond the limits so could suffer an issue.
