  1. It's still a little slow, with poor UI and a lack of functionality and flexibility if you use the native functions. It's an improvement but compared to the best systems out there it is lacking.
  2. The LED Illuminated Vent Controls is a Takumi grade only feature.
  3. Typically the lights should have a barrier to allow moisture out, so they should dry out. The issue is this can take a long time with LEDs not giving off heat, unlike the old incandescent lamps. A few drops isn't an issue. If the lenses have too much water though you can get pulled over by the police.
  4. Happy to provide you with pics to strengthen your case that this isn't a one off, but I no longer have the vehicle so I'm not looking for a resolution myself.
  5. As with all used cars, prices have held up/increased. Try WBAC/Motorway.co.uk to get a quick idea on a trade price. For a car with a value over £20k (outside of an enthusiasts car) you may struggle to find people willing to purchase privately.
  6. F Sport is firmer. They both have AVS but the F Sport has different shocks, geometry and harder/larger bushes on the rear, and the 19" wheels with lower profile tyres have less give. The F Sport drives/handles better too with the variable steering ratio and rear wheel steering. Power boot (and rear blind) is standard on the Premier. HUD is standard too but it was only provided on the facelift models (2016 onwards).
  7. The splitter damage looks as a result of external impact so not sure you will get anywhere with that one but you have a case for the others. My dealer wasn't interested in my interior trim delaminating - trim isn't covered under extended warranty.
  8. Here's the build sheet of my wife's 2020 UX with kick: here is a section of a build sheet for a Takumi registered in May 2021:
  9. That's not a build sheet, it's a marketing spec sheet - with the normal we reserve the right to change specification, equipment and availability without prior notice disclaimer.
  10. The good thing about Lexus in the US is they actually offer some customer service. Lexus GB may have a customer service department, but they don't offer 'customer service' - they will nearly always side with the dealer, or claim the owner is at fault 😠 Hopefully this may force their hand.
  11. Whist the UX has an electric AC compressor to cool the cabin without needing the engine, there is no electric heater so you need the engine's waste heat. Therefore hybrids tend to see a bigger drop in economy in winter compared to a more conventional vehicle as the engine will run more often. If you switch off the climate control you will notice the engine switches itself off (after it has done an initial warmup) but you will get cold (unless you just use seat and steering wheel heaters).
  12. because they were never that price. Someone got quoted £1700 for all 4, probably including pads.
  13. You would have a strong case for stating the car isn't fit for purpose if the suspension can only last 25k miles/3 years. Yes it's a big heavy car but the suspension should have been designed to accommodate those characteristics. Virtually impossible to prove on an individual case basis as it would very much depend on how it has been driven during those 3 years. We haven't read about this particular issue with the NX before on these forums - hopefully it is an isolated issue, although not a great consolation for Praveen. But we are getting to point where common age and mileage related issues with the early NX vehicles will start to appear.
  14. Surely you can make a point without exaggerating to the point of complete fiction? If you are paying £400 you are paying over retail price. £253 for the pair from the Lexus dealer below or get the Bembo OEMs from Autodoc for around £170 for the pair. https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-rc-f-front-brake-discs/
  15. I'm sure they will be adding an additional consumer unit anyway, but they should be able to link from that existing one by adding an extra MCB, depending if the feed is up to the job. I don't believe the charger has PEN fault detection so that will need to be achieved within the additional CU.
  16. Mainly down to Lexus' current over-styling across the range rather than a generic SUV issue.
  17. RAV4, Verso and Avensis share the same engine, but it depends on the age as the injector part changed over the years. A quick check on toyodiy.com suggests the part you need is 23670-29125, but please double check before ordering something.
  18. Worth pulling a plug to check it is the right model and not a Denso fake to put your mind at rest.
  19. It's not too overpriced for the capacity you get, the rated output, warranty and the full home isolation. But you don't have any choice, you either have a top of the range system or nothing. Suggestion is that the PW v3 will use LFP batteries which are much more suited as a home storage system - I'd wait but there is no knowledge of when that refresh will happen. Using LFP will be much cheaper to manufacture too, whether any of that gets passed on to the consumer remains to be seen.
  20. Here's the latest spec sheet, updated a month ago. States active noise control is not standard across the range nor the rear pedestrian detection - I think it is forward pedestrian and cyclist detection from the radar that is standard across the range. As with any literature that comes from Lexus GB, errors need to be assumed. 220112M-ES-Equip-List-1.pdf
  21. A is vertical, B is horizontal beam adjustment:
  22. You mean the Premium edition, not the base ES with the Premium Pack? If so the Takumi also has: a keycard in addition to the normal two key fobs the 17 speaker Mark Levinson audio system power boot with kick sensor rear seat zone for the climate control electric rear sunshade and the manually operated rear side window shades memory seats - with easy entry sliding driver's seat 10 way adjustable seats rather than 8 way 4 way lumbar on the front seats, rather than 2 way ventilated front seats heated rear seats active noise control lateral performance dampers pedestrian detection on the parking sensors wood trim inserts high quality leather (the Premium edition doesn't have leather at all, only Tahara fake leather) ambient interior lighting adaptive headlights memory external mirrors with reverse tilt
  23. There is an initialisation section at the end of the owners manual stating what systems need to be initialised after the 12v battery is disconnected/discharged/replaced. For the parking assist it refers you to the navigation manual which states: Parking assist Error: Cause  12-volt battery has been reinstalled.  The steering wheel has been moved while the 12- volt battery was being rein- stalled.  12-volt battery power is low.  The steering sensor has been reinstalled.  There is a malfunction in the signals being output by the steering sensor. Solution: Stop the vehicle, and turn the steering wheel as far as it will go to the left and right. If this does not resolve the symptom, have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus autho- rized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
  24. P0138 normally means an electrical short, either in the wiring or the sensor itself. It's a hard fault which is almost instantly detected, which is why it comes back straightaway. That and the other codes point towards a damaged downstream sensor.
  25. According to the workshop info the camera heater shouldn't be operating when the ignition is off.
