  2. I suspect the original filters were replaced at 4 years? So they would now be due to be replaced at the next major service in 20k/2 years time. They should inspect the filters at each service, just in case you have been in a dusty environment and they need changing early - and yes I would expect the to bang them out (ideally reverse blow them with an air line).

  4. P1135 is Bank 1 Sensor 1 Air/Fuel ratio sensor (Wideband O2 sensor) heater failure. The heating element on the sensor has gone open-circuit and the sensor will need to be replaced. It's a very common fault on any vehicle with a catalytic converter. Being bank 1, it is at the back of the engine on the exhaust manifold so you would need to access it from underneath. Bank 2 is more accessible. A genuine Denso sensor from Lexus is very expensive (part code 89467-48011). I would only recommend using a Denso sensor as the vehicle can be fussy with 'compatible' sensors, but you can use their aftermarket option, e.g.: https://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/denso-lambda-sensor-dox-0500
  5. They should be two tone. Check your schedule in your service book. I suspect the filters should be changed every 4 years, not at every major service.
  6. Not on the LC it isn't because the filter incorporates a fibre layer on the paper filter surface to improve cleaning performance. Those filters don't look dirty enough to have needed changing at a recent service unless it was at the replacement interval, although the service should have inspected them and ideally blew out any dirt.
  7. I think if you have powered seats then the wiring is there - there are only a couple of different floor wiring looms on the IS200, one for manual the other for powered seats. The seat cushions definitely have different part codes though depending on whether heaters are included or not, so you would at least need to purchase those and the switches.

  10. The service interval for the air filter is every 4 years / 40,000 miles, so it shouldn't even be changed every major service. Pollen filter should be changed every 2 years / 20,000 miles at each major service. Oil filter should be changed every 1 year / 10,000 miles at each service.

  12. pin 16 should have +12v on it even with ignition off. It is fed via a 7.5A obd fuse and the 140A ALT fuse.
  13. Yes, the 12v battery isn't powerful enough to power the air con system for any length of time. The vehicle will go into Ready mode and the petrol engine will come on/off as required to keep the hybrid battery charged.
  14. If the dash isn't working, nor the windows, then possibly one of the main fuses has blown. I wonder if jump cables were connected the wrong way around, or is there the possibility that rodents have been chewing wiring in the engine bay?
  15. Yes you will get a warning light. Still drivable but an MOT failure.
  16. It's only the Takumi grades that get the digital mirror. The spec sheet you provided is stating the Premium Plus has a standard optical mirror (i.e. non-digital).
  17. So did I and that was fine. Possibly related to a Dynamic Force engine which the Prius 4 didn't have.
  18. It's the 'design' grades that are bi-tone. So your Premium Plus must be a Premium Plus Design which costs £1,100 more than the standard Premium Plus, although as the yellow is a solid colour you don't have the additional expense of a metallic paint. This is the pricing at Oct 2023:
  19. You don't have a UX though with a newer generation of hybrid system compared to your series IV RX. It doesn't matter how fast you press the button you are presented with an ev mode not available message over 90% of the time. It's the same with my son's Corolla which has the same engine/hybrid system as the UX250h.
  20. No, it is useless. These newer generation hybrid vehicles just don't allow you to use EV mode in the way the older ones did - almost not worth fitting the button anymore. I do find however that you can sometimes move the vehicle without the petrol engine starting, especially if you quickly switch off the AC/Climate control so that doesn't trigger it to start.
  21. Yes, it is only the series IV that is vulnerable (2016-2022).
  22. On the UX - with the introduction of the UX300h which replaced the UX250h a few months ago.
  23. Well there's an 8 minutes video that didn't need to be more than 2. Not sure why he said the Lexus uses an LFP battery - it doesn't. Not sure what Lexus could do in that situation - you don't want to be entering the vehicle if it is smoking so you wouldn't be able to stop charging even if Lexus add proper controls in the vehicle. Obviously the app should be able to stop charging remotely, but that relies on a mobile data signal which might not be available. The charger itself would soon notice an issue and trip out though if something serious happened.
  24. Yes, which I why I say it may benefit. It all depends on your non vehicle usage, if you can benefit from the cheap overnight rate for water heating, clothes washing, dishwasher etc., and how much vehicle charging you actually expect to do. It hasn't always been the case but currently there is very little difference in the day rate on Go vs other tariffs, and strangely Go is cheaper than some.
