    I had a total change of heart and decided to not go sensible. Saying that the new car is very easy on the eye and drives surprisingly well, as a bonus it sounds sublime. Jules

    It’s the right choice Dave so can’t fault you. I’ve seen a couple around the 16-17k mark so will enquire tomorrow. Jules

    A little bump. Considering RX450H’s from 2013 onwards, prefer F-Sport / Advance, then Lux. Mid to low miles and must be well looked after. Prefer Ivory interior, then black. Think cream was the only other option? If so not a keen on this (may be called beige?). Pan roof is a nice to have also. Prefer a private sale, so if anyone is selling of intends to sell soon, please get in touch. Cheers Jules

    I enquired with the OP but you’d beat me to it. It’s a shame they couldn’t trade it straight out for a marginal fee, or allow a cash exchange prior to them taking it in. But once the initial deal is done it’s hard to change. The search continues.......

    Ouch, either a big mark up from £14k (obviously they need to cover pre sales inspection, corrective work and warranty cost), or they’d built in some profit from the sale of this against the total deal the OP did. Either way at £18k they have loads of margin.

    Hi, I’m in the market for an RX450H. Budget is ideally £10k-£16k for the right car in a private sale. Must be well maintained and in very good condition. I prefer Advance and F-Sport models, but will also consider models without air suspension such as Luxury, Premium and SE-I. Let me know if you are looking to sell your RX450H in the near future.     I’ve been tracking the prices as I’m looking for an RX myself. Most of the Lexus Dealer cars have been sat there a while - 2011-2015 generation. I’d have had the OP’s car at £14k, but agree it’ll probably be for sale around £16.5-£17k.

    Budget increased to £15k to bring in newer cars, may go a touch higher for an F-Sport if anyone is selling. Plenty of cars on AT/EBay etc but they are not selling and there are very few examples for private sale (preference), which hints most owners must p/ex them for something else. Jules

    Hi Phil, no unfortunately not. A Sport I was interested in sold. Other than that, nothing else really jumps out as a potential viewing opportunity.

    Hmmm, quite like the look of the Sport model, so whilst these cost a bit more I’ll wait and see if a few more pop up for sale. In the meantime still looking out for Advance and Lux models post 2012

    Thanks Phil, was ideally only looking at cars up to around 2012, so this is likely to be way above budget.

    Not so good and therefore still a concern, so makes it understandable as to why potential buyers can avoid the air suspension. I’ll possibly plan to view a couple next weekend, so I’m looking forward to that.
