  1. Alan , have you ever used the engine to re charge the battery, say when you doing motorway driving, if so any idea what it does to the mpg?
  2. This is why i think the 450h+ would be perfect for me, easily enough range for my day to day use, but i also want a 200 mile drive every 3/4 months, and at this point of time i just want the hassle of charging away from home, depending when i decide to change things could change, more and easier assessable charging points and even perhaps longer range on electric cars like the RZ
  3. Is this from the Lexus NX Manual LOL
  4. On retirement my life situation will change and my LC will no longer be a practical car to own. i will need a car which will comfortably seat 3 adults , with the possibility or car seats, and then children ( not mine lol. ), and a medium to large Dog. i have looked at the NX45h+ and feel that this car will fit my needs. During lock down owners of Hybrid cars had problems with the cars battery because they were not being used, i remember Lexus sending out a email suggesting owners turn on the ignition until the READY light coms on and leave it a hour and do this a couple of time a week, potentially, with the miles i will travel, i may only use the engine and Hybrid system 3/4 times a year when i travel more than 35 miles. so my question is....if you don't use your 450h+ much, and only purely drive it on electric will this have any damaging effect on the cars engine and Hybrid system?. thinking about it this is probably a silly question as i would have hoped Lexus would have thought of this, but i would like to here your opinions
  5. i can't see how they can fit the same infotainment system from the NX into the LC without completely changing the dash layout, and i am not sure Lexus will do this as i think the LC production will come to a end as the new electric version will take over, building V8's just for the LC seems unlikely to me
  6. Sorry on holiday, unless something happens.
  7. yes i agree the road tax is very unfair if you dont do a lot of miles, my LC is coming up to 5 years old with less than 9k on the clock, just a shame you have waited so long to get one, yours looks very nice and i would be surprised is you had any problem in finding it another owner,
  8. not my business to pry, but it looks like you have two cars, any chance you could not use the F as much, i just think you may regret selling it down the line.
  9. The depth is quite shallow around 33cm the opening into the boot is 100 X 40 it then narrows inside the boot to 80 X 80
  10. My LC will go in for its 5 year service in October with less than 10k, by the time it gets to its 6 year service it will have around 12k, ridicules to think that you have to have the spark plugs changed with so little use.
  11. probably caused by straddling square speed bumps
  12. it sounds like they have hit the curb quite hard and blown a tyre, hence the odd tyre, i didn't think you could repair run flats either, possibly if you notice it flat and dont drive on it you may get away with a repair. its a shame that a car like that has not been particularly well looked after. it depends on the price, they should get the wheels and everything repaired before you buy it, unless your looking at a private buy, then you will need to allow for £700 for each wheel repair and for the rear bumper repair.
  13. These are not diamond cut wheels, and are a nightmare to get repaired, i believe that there are only a couple of places that can do them, when i looked into getting mine done it was around £700 to get it back to factory finish and they required the wheel for a good week, or they did a local repair which they said would look pretty invisible from 1 meter away for £150 ( not sure how long they needed the wheel for this )sorry i can't remember the company name, i think they were up north somewhere, i was going to have to send them the wheel I was lucky that my Local Dealership has a very good repair guy, I have used him for years, how he repaired it i dont know but he made a pretty good job, is it back to factory finish, no, but i think you would have to look very hard to see it. ( £95 ). top 2 photos are the damage, bottom 2 the refurbishment.
  14. my LC is every 10k, not sure why the convertible would be any different.
  15. I have the same problems at petrol pumps, even when i park right up against the pump is a large car, van,or truck parks at the pump opposite i sometime can't open the door far enough to get in.
  16. You're getting old Malcolm, I use my paddles every day, i hang a fluffy dice of each one.
  17. Yes Buff away XLZQ0062.mp4 GCCD3041.mp4
  18. I bought 2 of these, one for my daughter who has used it loads of times, started he and her friends cars every time, a bit on the pricy side but it car start a 9 ltr engine, ARTECK 900A Peak Car Jump Starter Up to 7 0L
  19. I would think so, I think they have tested most cars, they initially couldn't get it to work on the LC, but I let them have my car for half a day and they managed to sort it out.
  20. The problem with a Tracker is what you have just experienced, the car has already gone, which is why i decided to spend my money on preventing the theft from taking place in the first place, Ok so you fit a tracker to your GS-F, do you really want it back after it has been stolen?,
  21. Sorry you had your car stolen, but don’t let them stop you driving the car you love. Fit a Ghost alarm, £450.
  22. I drove one round the Ascari race track in Malaga as part of the RC-F promotion, but i am not a race car driver, and spent most of the time checking my mirror's and indicating . lol however when Isolde Holderield and Alexander Wurz were driving, the car spent most off the time sidewase. only had mine 2.5 years, the only issue i had was condensation in both headlight, which were replaced under warranty.
  23. For the first 20 years of driving i stayed with the same company, i think they treated you as a valued customer, but for the next 20 years i have changed to a different company every year, customer loyalty has gone and they don't even seem bothered if you stay or go.
  24. Dealer will change the pads, but mine still squeal, i spray some iron remover on the callipers every now and then and that helps, i think its just a build up of break bust on the pads. I think the latest up date is MM19, can take up to 2 hours to do some updates, with the engine running, so make sure you have enough fuel. Make sure it has had the re call for the fuel pump ( if needed ) and your petrol cap may stick and not open, there is a fix for that under warranty, its a big gob and will take all day. other than that, Enjoy.
  25. The only change i have noticed is that petrol has gone UP in price, i thought this fuel was supposed to be cheaper?.
