Are you having the car serviced at a Lexus dealership, if so the car is under warranty for 100K miles or 10 years Ask them to look at there re call list, its quite a common on the LC, quote the Lexus Forum, most of the time the dealerships have no clue of re calls The US have a recall for this which is what i tell my dealership, but then the US get a lot more re calls than Europe get, we only seem to get the ones that involve life and death Its not a easy or cheep job to replace it, it took them the best part of the day to do mine Every now and then open the flap and wiggle it back and forth a few times, i normally do it when i clean the car, also a square of WD40 should help

As far as i am aware they only do one red on the LC , this Sonic Red with the paint code 3T5 As you can see same car in different light

think the GS450H Is the best all round car i have ever owned, i loved it, comfortable 4 door, 4 seater car, quick with good mpg, a bit of a wall in sheep's clothing.

The LC is vulnerable and can be stolen by CANBUS, there is a port behind the bumper on the near side

The LC can be stolen the same way as any other Lexus models by the CANBUS , I would fit a Ghost or similar and a visual deterrent, steering lock or driveway post. other than that just enjoy the car, mine will probably be up for sale in April 2025. so start saving. lol

Another option is a metal bollard fitted in front of the car ( around £550 ), as others have stated the Ghost should stop the car from being stolen but not the damage caused while trying. Hopefully the bollard will act as a deterrent from trying to steel the car A cheep tracker is to hide a apple air tag somewhere on the car, remove the speaker first so they can't locate it, your have around 24 hours to locate your car before they are alerted that there is a air tag somewhere in the car and that's only if they have a apple phone but as we all know there is always going to be a way round anything you do.

Well that's odd, well spotted i have had this numberplate on retention for 9 years and didn't notice the reg number on the certificate is wrong, I have GS13XUS on the certificate but it should be G13XUS, I have contacted the DVLA and i am sending the certificate back to be put right, so until i get it back correct i will take this post down

I just had the 60K , 6 year service, no added charge for the plugs but was asked if i wanted fuel additive ( i use Shell V power ) so declined that, A/C gas replace meant ( its cold and doesn't smell so i declined that ). i think they are just fishing to sell extras.

It really annoy's me that Insurance companies will not give a discount on your insurance for fitting a £500+ immobiliser which should stop most thieves steeling your car in the first place, but are happy to give you a discount if you fit a tracker which may give you the opportunity to get your car back after it has already been stolen, it what condition who knows, can anybody in the Insurance industry please explain this to me?

If you don't want to go down the powder coating route but you would like the reversed look there is a option There is a company, somewhere up north, near Birmingham i think, and sorry i can't remember the name, your have to do some searching like i did, who i contacted 5 years ago about refurbing the 21' wheel, at the time they were one of only two places that had the specialised equipment to do it. First they repair the damage, you won't have any damage as the wheels are new then they submurge the complete wheel in a vibrating machine which is full of ball bearings and some sort of abrasion / polishing substance, for i believe 3 days, don't quote me on that but i remember it being a long time, this polishes the hole wheel to a chrome finish, including the black portion, they then re paint the black potion of the wheel which of course you require to be reversed, they required my wheel, at the time for 10 days, you would have to take the wheels to them or have then delivered and returned. the cost of this process, at the time was £800 per wheel, which it expensive but it would be a shame that you are put of buying such a fabulous car just because you don't like the wheels. i ordered a RC-F in 2015 and tried to get them to deliver it with the carbon model wheels, which i preferred but like you this could not be done. sorry i can't help you more with the information , it may be worth phoning some Lexus dealership's up north, as i am sure that's how i found the company, as they probably use them. You can go on and on with different devices, so how you try and protect you car will be down to each persons preference, any device can be got around. DiskLok is a visual deterrent but still will not stop thieves entering your car and causing damage. if they enter the car or smash a window, or tilt the car the alarm will go off

Neither, you have to punch in a sequence of buttons located in the car, you can program up to 20 ( as long as you have a good memory )
