I believe this is a common problem and can be down to the sunroof drains.
-
I swapped mine for leds a while back and it took 10-15 mins. Its the same with everything though. A 2 minute job for one person can be a b***h and take 30 mins for another.

Go for genuine or upgrade mate.

That boot mod does look the dogs doo dahs but doesnt all the water that collects on there when its rained go straight into the boot when you open it? also would you mind sticking a few pics up of the hinge on your bootlid? would be good to see how you did it.

Does the engie sound like its misfiring? or Not firing on a few cylinders? Is the engine shaking with the bonnet up? mounts could be loose etc
-
rather than increase engine power, which is difficult to do with the IS200 engine, lose some weight from the vehicle instead.
Good point there. I remember someone saying before though that when they took the spare wheel out it made the car abit "twitchy" at the back end. Still may be worth a try though. Just be careful.

Think I get what youre saying but you would have to be careful not to go all the way through.

is it leather or fabric?

Spent most of my evening last night watching road rage videos. Some mega funny one on there but this one really tickled me.
-
Are you a mechanic by trade then or something? and do you have access to alot of equipment?
-

Welcome to the club mate

Wow Wish I could just "acquire" something like that I know, I could "acquire" it from you!
-
welcome and that paintwork looks very smart
-
An heres the recent one with the "L" badge wrapped aswell
-
Personally i feel that wrapping is better for me as if you do decide later down the line that you dont like it you can pull it off and youre back to normal. Ive also just wrapped the "L" badge on the grill and ill get some photos of that up soon. As you can see ive done headlights and fogs black aswell and i think that it all kinda compliments eachother.
-
Heres mine, ive wrapped the bottom part of the bumper using avery vinyl that i was given as a sample. its fairly easy to do but you just need to take your time. Also get enough incase you make a mistake the first time.

Welcome to the club! Nice looking IS

Thanks for all the input guys, I just hope i don't need to replace the mirror glass, I heard it's a biggie.
Yes, those electrochromatic mirrors are £300+ each for a replacement.
When one of mine failed I just swapped it with a normal heated mirror as a stop gap...that was over a year ago, so I obviously haven't missed the auto-dimming function much. When my other one starts to go I'll just do the same again and replace it with a normal glass mirror.
Auto dimming? was that just on the LE model?
-
To do that on an IS would cost mega bucks though would it not?
Thanks for thhe video aswell, very good.
