Exactly as aLEXIS200 says bring the cables out through the sidelight hole. Ive through crimped the cables and then heat shrinked over them.

Sounds good. Could possibly meet at MFN (Near Eastwood) or they sometimes have car meets at The Griffins Head in Papplewick. Ill try and have a think of some others aswell.
Also it might be good if enough people wanted to, to meet at MFN on car night. http://mfn-club.co.uk/Car_Nights.html Just a thought

Ive just cashed all of mine in. Had £2500 for about 3 years and not won a sausage!

I want to know this aswell.
I think you have to use a dremel or something. Ive used the search but cant find anything. Anyone fancy helping?
Pleeeeeeeeeeease :D

That is the way to do them on the lexus. 100C for about 10 mins ish ( just keep checking and trying.)
Use a stiff paint scraper to pry it apart.

Are the spark plugs all ok? Are all the ht leads on properly/securely?

In my opinion if someone likes the car, and is spending a decent amount of money. then if they want the wheels refurbing that much they will do it themselves. When i bought mine th wheels were in a state but the garage offered to do them for me at extra cost. I took them up on the offer but wish i hadnt. they were still crap.
Personally I would just polish them up as good as i can and then leave it.
Anyone else fancy giving an opinion on this?
-
How bad a state are they in? Also you just have to think if it will add on more value than it costs to have them done. How many miles has it done and how old is it?

Wait!!!! Just to make sure, you have pressed the load button first havent you!

http://www.avon-tyre...heels-and-tyres
http://www.carbibles..._bible_pg4.html this link is brill. it lets you calculate what size you need. it also tells you the difference that your speedo will show you. So you just put in your normal wheel and tyre size and then your new wheel size, then change the tyre size to get the closest match you can I guess. Then you just have to take into account the difference on the speedo when youre driving. Go down to 2/3 of the way down the page.
Hope this helps

This is something ive always wanted to know really. I think what you do is when you go up a wheel size, you just reduce the profile of the tyre. I look into it more then let you know. (if someone doesnt beat me to it in the mean time )

Thanks for the input ian

My mrs golf had this and it turned out to be the thermostat was seized. The coolant was coming straight out of the expansion tank hence the white steam (smoke?) £10+vat for new stat sorted.

According to the spec sheet for the IS200 The unbraked towing weight is 450 KG and the braked towing weight is 1200 KG. So its just a case of finding out the total weight or your boat and trailer. Id like a boat, fancy one for going fishing in!

Sorry chap not really.

wicked thanks mate

Hi all
does anyone know of any shops that mix paint to the colour code of your car? I believe halfrauds does it but wondered about any other places. Im in nottingham if that helps.
Thanks

Lol the laws being updated that much that they begin to contradict themselves. You just end up going round in circles so to speak!

Badass car mate.any idea of what power shes got?
-
I only say this because the thermostat went on my mrs golf the other week and all the coolant just got chucked out the expansion tank.
Where To Start Customizing?

Welcome to the IS200 world lol! Basically unless you want to supercharge or turbo or engine swap, there aint really any mods that are gonna give you noticeable power increases. Most people will just do styling/handling mods (Black headlights, Strut braces, Coilovers, springs, tyres) have a browse, you will see. Exhausts are obviously a common thing to do as with any car. Induction kits are to your own taste lol they wont give you a mega difference on the IS.
Happy modding.
P.s there is lextasy in the u.s you can buy from and prolex over here. Plenty of other places for specific items though.
Headlights are easy mods to do. just need the oven and paint. Rear lights aint hard either.
Any questions just ask.
If I can help I will.
