I have owned either a Toyota or Lexus for 20 years and used the services of Toyota/Lexus Finance on a few occasions and always found them helpful. I have completely unblemished history with them and there customer services are always keen to remind me how important my business is to them. I recently inquired about changing my IS250 to a newer model, spoke to Lexus Finance and got a firm NO!
I was somewhat shocked so I contacted a credit reference agency (as advised by LFS) and was given a report with NO DETRIMENTAL information.
Initially, out of interest I approached Mitsubishi about a new vehicle, cost similar to that proposed to LFS and got a YES in 20 minutes. Passed this information on to LFS who seemed vaguely interested and suggested I faxed them some more details. I did and they promptly lost them. Went to Jaguar yesterday and bought an XF and of course Jaguar Finance where only to pleased to oblige.
So it's goodbye Lexus and Toyota after 20 years loyal custom, I won't be back!
