  1. Saying that I did really like my GS and as I've mentioned recently I honestly don't know why I didn't keep it, perhaps its just a case of being spoilt with an LS, they do get under your skin!
  2. I believe the GS300 from that period 05-09 can have carbon build up causing a few issues, although mine was fine at around 75k.
  3. I would agree with John's idea about keeping it if you can, you'll miss it when its gone, I know, I've been there! The other thing to bear in mind is it's a pre facelift so marginally less desirable in that respect when it comes to selling.
  4. Personally I would contact Paul Frost to source a used strut, I got one from him some years ago. The fronts are the same for both sides, only the rears are handed. Also the fronts are really easy, you could replace one in less than an hour.
  5. Sadly it probably isn't worth as much as you hope. The mileage is high but LPG and coils will help. Personally I would think 2.5k tops.
  6. I've no intention of buying one, I'd end up too aquatinted with a lamppost. Which reminds me, I've had two previous LS430's but the Celsior seems to be much quicker off the mark, whether it's tuned differently I don't know but it really does shift!
  7. The Nissan GTR is the fastest thing I've ever driven, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, I'd rather have one than any so called supercar, and when in "normal" driving mode it was quiet and comfortable. It's not surprising Jeremy Clarkson yanked his neck out driving one.
  8. Always had a soft spot for the Skyline. Wasn't the Z350 badged as Skyline in Japan?
  9. It's a difficult time of year for cars misting up, my Volvo one day last week literally had water running down the inside of the windscreen, my Celsior has had the odd bad day as well, other days absolutely fine, roll on summer!
  10. I absolutely agree about having climate control on permanently, it not only clears misty windows quicker but it apparently causes less fatigue on longer journeys. I'm with you on the manual thing though, they drive me nuts, even more so when they're in Japanese!
  11. Hmm, me and electrical stuff really don't get on, I wonder if it's easy to get a diagram.
  12. Same here, I didn't know about the speed limiter until I put my foot down in Germany. That I don't mind but cruise control limited to 70 can be annoying.
  13. What a brilliant video, and what a brave man you are, I think I may have driven it over the quayside by now! Looking forward to the next one.
  14. Good point, including Pop master! I might rummage in the boot over the weekend. I'm guessing there's no way to get the TV to work....
  15. I did buy a frequency changer but it needs to be plugged into the antenna socket at the back of the radio, but when I took it out there was no antenna socket!
