  1. There is a 40 amp fuse for the suspension system under the bonnet near the battery, have you checked that? Mine is a Celsior so some positions of components can be slightly different but I'm happy to take a picture of the fuse compartment in the morning if it helps. If you can't hear the pump running at all it could well be the fuse or the pump has gone kaput from over work. The height sensors are prone to water ingress so the story of the puddle could be right. You can dismantle the sensors to clean and reseal if they haven't been too damaged. Removal of the sensors is easy enough, and no need to be concerned about the removal and replacement of air struts, it's very straightforward, but parts are very expensive!
  2. Very interested to see how you get on because if you are successful, mine being a 2003 Celsior/LS430 with the same engine I should be in the same position.
  3. I really hope it works for you, looking forward to the update.
  4. I wouldn't hesitate to buy aftermarket brake wear sensors, they're such a basic thing, and Lexus charge laughable prices for them. I'd be more than happy to pay Rockauto £3.75 for them, I'd also be just as happy to join the wires and inspect the pads at service time.
  5. I don't know the GS brake set-up but on the LS if you take off a wheel the disc becomes loose and bits of flaky rust get trapped between the disc and the hub causing an imbalance. It happened on mine causing a vibration until I cleaned the surfaces.
  6. Looks nice, apart from the scabby rear fog light done on the cheap. But sadly the sellers reputation is as low as its possible to get on this forum.
  7. Has anyone got any thoughts on something like this? Worth the risk or not? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001038662470.html
  8. A few years back a member from Ireland has his LS430 wrapped in a shiny blue Cadburys dairy milk foil colour, it did look the business. I watched a BMW being wrapped next to my old workshop at one time, a dark mat grey. Every time someone touched it it marked, a bit like stainless steel does, and what do you do if you get a light scratch, it can't just be polished out. I guess it isn't the most practical finish.
  9. My Volvo seats are by far the best I've experienced, very warm in a couple of minutes and very cold in the summer, but I agree with the comments on the LS430, very poor considering the original price!
  10. I've a feeling your crowd funding may not draw a crowd on this one, more like a small gathering! We hardly seem to get snow on the West Sussex coast, something to do with the downs I'm told.
  11. I don't know why the different part numbers, it's the same part for all.
