  1. This will always be the problem with ageing limos, an arm and a leg to put the smallest problem right.
  2. And I may just be in the market for a castle with paintings and a mountain view! So if you have a few million spare, or you win the lottery or similar then please remember me! Although I'm guessing with a residence like that a Bentley would be better than a mere Toyota.
  3. All fine and dandy, but to me, having only ever seen one, and that was driving through Brighton which would make an Austin Allegro a welcome distraction, I just loved the look of it. I couldn't care less if it drove like the aforementioned Austin as I've no intention of buying one, in the eye of this beholder it was fab, but that's the extent of my real interest in it. Of course, should one of you wealthy readers feel overly benevolent there's a place on my drive for your generous gift!
  4. Bloody hell, all I do is comment on my visual interest on a car, that's it!
  5. Either way I'm glad I got rid of it. It's all fine when they're new-ish but years down the line its not dependable. I was reading some info on aftermarket air struts which refer to internal valving so I'm guessing there's more than just oil and an airbag. There would need to be really at nearly £1,000 each.
  6. I saw this yesterday as well, a very good video.
  7. He seems to be Toyota's number one fan! I like the way he seems to be honest and straight to the point!
  8. I'm not sure if this has been posted before, a good video I thought. They Tried to Shut Me Down for Telling the Truth About Lexus - YouTube
  9. The shock still has valves inside. There has to be valves inside to allow air to escape/ be replenished.
  10. A good point. The problem with air it the often complete failure. Not just Lexus of course, Mercedes are plagued with it when the years go by. My coils do create a slight "rattle" at low speed over some small road imperfections, not that we have many bad roads in this country! I guess we should never expect a complex expensive system to be trouble free after 16 years or so. I had two failures on my Celsior at 63k, not air leaking but oil from the strut. I was lucky really because it happened just after a European road trip, I wouldn't have wanted that in Germany!
  11. Personally I've found my cornering and general handling has improved with coils.
