  1. I think you really need to wait until your code reader arrives, I've tried many times over the years to "guess" but an accurate diagnosis is the way to go.
  2. We've got a Greyhound, only had him for nine weeks. I realise dogs mostly lie down in a car, maybe I'm using it as an excuse just for something different! I'm going up the Staffordshire on Thursday to see a 2015 Honda, looks nice and top of the range.
  3. I don't know of anyone that reconditions them so really the only options are new, used or coils, the latter will cost you the same as one new air strut!
  4. Sadly the Lexus RX isn't suitable as a car for me now that we have a very tall dog, the floor is too high and the rear window slopes too steeply. I'm considering a 2014-ish Honda CR-V, I just wondered if anyone out there has had experience of them. Ta.
  5. Let us know how you get on, it should only take an hour to fit. No transmission dipstick on the facelift so you'll probably need to top up the fluid with some Toyota Type 1V but it won't need much.
  6. I'll add another 2, I think trying to disable VSC could cause various issues, can't you just switch it off?
  7. I think most people believe it's just velour, a man made fabric, but it is actually pure wool and that makes for a favourite armchair feel!
  8. I've had leather in every Lexus for the past 13 years, but the Celsior I just sold had wool, like the one on eBay, and I can tell you it's far superior.
  9. I fitted one on my first LS430 and it really is a simple job, plus there's loads of room and lots of areas to fix it to.
  10. How about this one. I had two of these.
  11. I'd want to know where the oil leak is from, some leaks are easy to deal with, some need major work (like my friends Mercedes at £3,000!) It seems almost every car I check has a suspension arm pin or bush mentioned as an advisory so not a big issue. I've found that unless it's a main dealer offering the warranty they're hardly worth the paper they're written on. I had one with my GS, all glossy and nice in the advertising but a non starter making a claim
  12. I don't think you'll get the right one from Rockauto, I've looked into this before and it seems they only sell the ones suited for the Japanese and US cars which have a different setup to ours, basically with the coolant reservoir attached to the radiator. Of you don't mind spending lots of money a main dealer is really the place to go. There are some on eBay that would be ok but I don't know about quality.
