  1. My thoughts exactly, only I wouldn't have been so eloquent!
  2. Hi Lee, I hope your new wheels live up to your expectations! I've looked before at this sort of mod on my previous cars but it never seems straightforward. If it was UK based I'd be more confident, otherwise it's a big risk as Lexus electronics are very complex. Hopefully someone else can give you advice.
  3. My apologies. In all the years I had an LS430 I never had to replace a sidelight bulb! Somebody will come along with the solution I'm sure.
  4. If you were waiting for it here in West Sussex, you'd also have to wait for fuel as well, the situation is still dire here!
  5. Nothing needs doing re road tax or MOT. Not that MOT is your issue!
  6. I didn't know there was mans access to aisle 9, I thought that was "womens" things!
  7. I really would like to sell our house and do something different like a boat, a shame my wife doesn't agree! Yours just looks fantastic!
  8. You need to be a more savvy shopper, if you go to aisle 12 you'll find it in the frozen section. We've stocked our freezer to the brim with diesel, petrol, gas and electric, easy!
  9. I saw a lovely red IS250 in Waitrose carpark today, and being nosey I looked it up. Reg number A11YEO 2006 with less than 11k! The reason I was curious is a friend has the name Yeo but it wasn't them!
  10. Me too. Often when we watch something on Netflix we get an email saying things like, "now that you've watched so and so, why not try this" It doesn't feel comfortable knowing that what we watch is being, well, watched, even if it is by another computer!
  11. Which is where I live. One neighbour spent 3.5 hours trying to get fuel yesterday. It's worse than ever, and clearly won't be over soon. Keeping me fit though as I'm walking everywhere, including walking past vast queues for fuel at the one and only fuel station open.
  12. Maybe try to buy a used part from lexussparesdirect. They break LS's. I don't have their number anymore but I'm sure someone will give it to you, not to be confused with Lexus parts direct! Also, as you may know, don't run the engine with the car jacked up, it plays havoc with the suspension!
  13. Just out of interest, did you buy a new Lexus main dealer strut or an aftermarket one like Arnott?
  14. It is possible to push the plastic air hose in without the "click" as it locates, and it will still be held in place enough to fill with air by the external white clip but create a slow leak. At least the rear hoses are easier to get to than the fronts! I've also seen the connection slightly damaged by disconnecting without the proper tool. It may only be a very small hose but it needs to be in perfect condition to make the airtight seal, which also means free of debris.
  15. From my experience of removing/replacing air struts on the LS, I know it's possible to fit the air pipe to the struts incorrectly, not seated property, which can cause a drop overnight, I've actually experienced this myself. It's also worth asking why you replaced the strut in the first place, was it because it was dropping on that corner, and did you buy a new, genuine Lexus part?
