I'm in Worthing, just up the A24 from Dorking. If you fancy I drive to the south coast let me know! I had the same thing recently trying to find the points for getting the car in the air on a friends garage lift, lots of plastic underneath.
Lovely car!
Either a wheel bearing or uneven tyre wear comes to mind. A wheel bearing can usually be determined by checking to see if it increases when cornering. I've also had annoying rumbling sounds from tyres that look OK but aren't.
I love the Honda, what a gem! Not over keen on the Lexus. I also love the PIC of the Nissan GTR, I drove one last year round Dunsfold, fastest thing I've ever driven!
It'll take you 30 seconds to see if the problem is the same as I had, just get yourself any piece of single wire. I touched one end on a door hinge bolt and the other on various parts of the metal supporting the steering motors, you don't need to take the steering wheel off just to experiment with it, it's worth a try. Maybe get someone to hold the horn pad down while you do it (or use your head as I did!)
Excellent, definitely one I'll be keeping. Oh, and thanks for reminding me of my age, I remember them all! I remember riding my heavy bike with a sweet cigarette in my mouth and hearing and old lady say "Smoking at that age, disgusting"!!
And the thing is that you know that's true. I don't know of any other car I've ever owned that I could say that about. I've driven brand new cars that don't drive anything like an LS of advancing years!
The one on eBay sold a few days ago for £2,800, it did have only 31k on the clock but I don't really see that kind of mileage as a good thing necessarily.
Annoyingly the cheap fix doesn't work on the LS430, I don't think it works on the MK4 either. As mentioned, on the facelift model you have an airbag to protect your knees.
