  1. Yes, and if it is you'll have drivers flashing you because your headlights will be wrong. Easy fix though.
  2. No, same for all. And I am removing my badges at the weekend.
  3. Help!.... The I'll look at it in the daylight tomorrow. I must admit I am very tempted, after all, they can always go back on. There is a condition, if I do mine you have to do yours, especially as you're the tempter here!😈
  4. You could always drive over and get him to look at it. If you want to give him a call I can pm you his number.
  5. I'm seriously torn though! With the computer I only have to revert, not so easy if I properly remove them. I may go for it, it's now 50 50!
  6. Being curious, and with the wonders of technology I've "removed" my badges, what's the verdict?
  7. I must admit I quite like the badgeless look. On an old car like mine there's too much in the way of chrome letters and numbers. If it's done carefully there shouldn't be any marks that won't polish out. Now I'm thinking, my car is pretty immaculate, would the rear end look even better without badges....hmmm
  8. It does look a beauty that's for sure. I wonder why only one picture?
  9. Sorry to hear about your problem Robert, I know people that suffer with this and it's very difficult at times. I'm sure many will advise that the way to go for a very quiet comfortable ride will be the LS400, or the LS430, both available on your budget, and just as peaceful to drive as you can get, even compared with new cars. Obviously good tyres contribute to quietness. I'm not sure about the GS series,it's a bit smaller and I'm sure owners will give you their input too. And welcome to the LOC!
  10. Oh yes, I started my LS400 once from cold, turned it off after just moving it forward a couple of feet, it wasn't at all happy when it was next started.
  11. This year I replaced all 4 of the 18" tyres on my Volvo with Avons, I got them via Black Circles for £97 each including fitting. I just got back from a trip to Wales where we covered nearly 900 miles. The tyres are quiet and the wet grip is excellent. I can't recommend them more highly, and as John says, they're made in the UK.
  12. Just out of interest, did all LS460's come with air suspension does anyone know?
  13. And the same goes for the cabin filter, it's something that easily gets overlooked, but then so does the fuel filter.
  14. I'm afraid I'd have to agree with that, mmm....sausages
  15. Steady on, I had a MK1 Ford Cortina that I bought for £50, I went everywhere in it and it just went on and on.
  16. It's possible that the plastic drive inside has broken. A common thing on the LS400
  17. I drove one of those back from Yorkshire for someone earlier in the year, a nice drive but just as I got back the suspension warning light came on, and it had air. A friend who deals and repairs them buys them for absolute peanuts. An impressive looking car.
  18. There you go, I've given you a new business idea. Obviously I expect some kind of reward when the country is awash with 18' Civics, Jazz's and Yaris's, and you've made so much from it that you're driving your brand new LS600h special edition+!
  19. I agree with Malc, I've seen several LS600's in London and coveted them every time, but I'd be terrified at the thought of it going wrong. It's a rich man's car that will need rich man's deep pockets to maintain it. For that reason alone I choose an aged limo, if it goes seriously wrong I just scrap it and loose very little money. Good luck with whatever you decide. Maybe spend 18k on having the Jazz stretched, it'll cost you less in the long run!!
  20. It would be nice to see it in the flesh sometime, if I'm ever in your part of the world I'll let you know.
  21. Superb, well done, I bet you've got arms like Popeye now! Is that a facelift model or is it just the wheels? By green/blue tint I meant when the lights are off, the lenses have a slight tint that comes from inside somewhere.
  22. I must say it makes so much difference having the headlights polished. I'm not sure what gives them that blue/green tint but it does look nice. Looking forward to your shiny pics!
  23. Perhaps is not good enough my man, it'll be expected! Sooo, how come you have a picture of a silver one?
