  1. Have you tried rotating the tyres? I say that because I was once stumped with a similar issue with tyres that looked OK but weren't and caused a rumble, always at around 50 mph.
  2. Strangely enough, when we were walking up that very steep hill coming out of Sennen last year, an LS430 the same colour and year as mine was coming down, a rare sight in Cornwall.
  3. We were due to stay at the Old Coastguard in Mousehole in a couple of weeks for a coastal path walk but due to my wife's knee problem we'll be staying in the Cot Valley instead, still beautiful though.
  4. Now what a shame, I'll be in Sennen the following weekend and I could have bought you a pint in the Old Success Inn and bored my wife by talking all things Lexus!
  5. So it is! Looks superb, excellent price too I would say. And I really like the colour. Just goes to show good ones do appear!
  6. Link doesn't come up unfortunately. Congrats anyway, looking forward to many photos!!
  7. It'll feel more modern, the seats are much better and it'll generally feel fab compared to a 94. Of course I'm not saying a 94 isn't fab because I owned one for 5 years, it's just better all round. I don't think the starter problem is too common, although I had to have it done on my MK4, annoying the part is only £13 though! Anyway, you'll love it, let's hope it's a good one.
  8. Have you seen one of his guitars, litteraly worn through but still played!
  9. Wow, that is scary! As Steve says, it'll interesting to know if it was a genuine part or not. If it wasn't it'll certainly be a warning to us all.
  10. Looks great, lovely colour!
  11. Welcome on board! Now if I don't say it someone else will.....Photos please!!
  12. If I remember correctly starting problems on the MK2 are often caused by the HT leads failing, and or coil packs. The MK2 only has two coil packs whereas the later ones have 8. Let us know when you have a diagnosis.
  13. I wonder if it applies to the pre face-lift. I'll try it tomorrow if so.
  14. We will of course be expecting a full report, followed by many photos! I often take my LS when we go to London, it's the most comfortable place to sit while you wait for the traffic to clear, which seems to be caused mostly by buses!
  15. Speaking of bills that came with cars, my last LS430 came with an old invoice for......£4,950 for replacing a wiring loom under the dashboard.
  16. I'm not familiar with the GS300 but over 16K for a car of that age sounds ridiculously high surely.
  17. On mine they slope down as in the photo, but yours are different having the tips visible. On my last LS430 I had the ends cut off and new visible tips welded on. I may do the same with my current one as it looks like I'll be keeping it.
  18. I think it's a very good price which I'd be happy to pay. The listing says 00-06 but the one in the picture is a pre facelift one so make sure it'll fit.
  19. Very good news! We have a Jaguar specialist on the site where I work who is always soooo busy. Because of his vast experience he makes it all look so easy but says even the later Jags are beginning to give major problems.
  20. I had to do a 3 point turn going around the car park spiral at Gatwick once, the LS ALWAYS seems to need more parking space than you think. Sensors really help though. Having said that, I always seem to manage to park in London when i take it there....Just!
