  1. As we've now got all our accommodation booked for our Spring roadtrip I was wondering if the GS has any facility for adjusting the headlights for European driving. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. It does amuse me sometimes when the post begins with "this looks like a good buy" and after 30 replies it's not half the car it appeared to be. Some advice of course is good, some based on guess work. Glad yours went to a good home, and I fully understand the missing it part!
  3. To be fair to the dealer I bought mine from he said if the car didn't match the description he gave me on the phone he would refund my fuel cost! But generally I agree, our expectation of "immaculate" mostly leads to disappointment.
  4. The whole business of buying a car is so frustrating. I went to see a GS430 a couple of weeks ago after being told it was impeccable, and although it was great looking the first thing I noticed was a tear in the drivers seat which I couldn't live with. The next one, a GS300 had a damaged door which wasn't mentioned. A morning wasted. I then went to Bournemouth (85 miles) to see a GS300 which turned out to be great. It just means being prepared to travel and sometimes be disappointed. Good luck with your search.
  5. Yes it will, or simply use silicone as others have done and you won't even have to take the speakers out, just the door card which is easy.
  6. Very interesting, thanks! Can I ask how much you paid?
  7. I see. It looks like the BT symbol! I'll take a photo of it if I'm still not sure.
  8. Here's another thing I don't understand. On the display where it shows signal strength etc, mine says BT, but I'm with o2!
  9. Welcome to the LOC. As I'm in West Sussex I'll look out for you (or listen for you as the case may be!)
  10. The only other car I've had that stood the test of time was my first real car, a 1959 beetle. I bought it in 1973 and it was so ridiculously reliable. Even when the choke cable broke it would still fire up first time in mid winter in cold snowy North Wales.
  11. My phone was on, I think I may need more practice.
  12. Annoyingly mine often says Bluetooth connection failed! I think I need a nice bit of weather just to play around. And I thought the LS had lots of things to press!
  13. I was helping someone out today picking up an 09 Jag X type, that was far from tight, everything, and I mean everything felt so baggy and loose after just 68k!
  14. The set up is identical so I can't see how it's any different.
  15. Me being sceptical wonders if the code had been removed prior, as it has been now! Still, not a major issue.
  16. I've contacted the warranty company and all seems OK!
  17. Thanks for that. I've just had it plugged in and it shows oxygen sensor bank 1
  18. Yes, alright!! Anyway, a more pressing issue. The check VSC light came on this morning. I've checked the fuel cap and that seems OK. At least it has a warranty!
  19. I've looked there but I'm not sure as they seem to be Far Eastern,!
  20. One of the advantages of changing the radiator is that you get to have fresh coolant which has to be a plus.
  21. Mine has the rear blind as well. What I would like is the boot spoiler, I wonder if one would be easy to source.
