  1. Netflix ad this morning....which I already have!
  2. All you need to do now is convince Jeremy Clarkson and co! 😉
  3. All new to me, would you care to elaborate?
  4. I've got a V70 D5 and although it's a great car in many ways it must surely have the worst turning circle ever.
  5. When I had mine I used it more or less every day, it's the only way to travel. Now I use my GS every day, still quiet, comfortable and plenty of power when needed, but the LS is in a class of its own, and as for the turning circle, how on earth did they achieve that!
  6. I found the same thing when I changed it on my GS, everything was straightforward (as well as a tad awkward) but the plug clip drove me nuts, my hand came out looking like Count Dracula had had a session on it, so many sharp bits down there.
  7. I suppose I could buy it just to scrap it and rid the world of one more eyesore!
  8. Sorry, I meant the fourth one down on your eBay list, the T reg LPG.
  9. Excellent, well done. Sad reason for someone to sell but life has to go on.
  10. Nice one. Would it be rude to ask how much, private or dealer? If the lighter is your only issue you've done well! And the most important question, does your daughter prefer it over the SC?
  11. I think Mike is right, prices are dropping on ones that were overpriced to start with. A good one now will always hold its price. The second one down is one I mentioned previously, it used to be mine but now sounds a bit of a duffer, its dropped by almost 1k in 4 weeks.
  12. How about coolant temperature sensor? This is just how my wife's car behaved, showed no fault codes but replacing the sensor cured it.
  13. I thought I read that being a gold member meant less ads, maybe I misread but I agree, using a phone as I do means some cover half the screen.
  14. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the increase in frequency and size of these ads?
  15. It's a minor thing so I'm really not that bothered. I did speak to the car this morning to see what happened when I said "fold door mirrors" it came back at me saying "setting temperature to 30 degrees"
  16. The GS has voice control for various things. I can ask it to set the interior temperature and it will do it quite happily, maybe I should try shouting!😁
  17. Looks really good, I've always thought it looks so much bigger than the later ones, just like the earlier LS looks bigger.
  18. I don't think it is possible with mine. I'm not really too bothered but if it was just a quick piece of programming I'd have done it. Thanks for the info. For some reason my post seems to be posted twice, the downside of using a phone I guess!
  19. I once took an LS430 suspension compressor apart simply because I was curious to see how it worked. What surprised me was the simplicity of it. The reservoir has a filter built in but the rest is basic. It has a small piston (which appeared to be plastic) with a piston ring like any compressor. I connected it to a battery and it was very loud out of the car as you would expect. The burble isn't always the bushes but wear in the cylinder which doesn't necessarily mean imminent failure. Replacing the bushes is easy once the drivers side wheel and arch liner is removed. My last LS430 had the burble whenever it kicked in, but after two years it hadn't worsened. When you switch to "high" you'll hear it kick in, some noise is normal, after all, it's a compressor. Look on eBay at LS430 suspension pump bushes and you'll find them.
  20. I'll be looking with great interest at this. Even my Volvo has the option to auto fold, I'm really surprised the GS doesn't.
  21. It controls the mirrors but has to be done manually
  22. To save me trawling through the manual, does anyone know if the door mirrors can fold automatically?
  23. To save me trawling through the manual, does anyone know if the door mirrors can fold automatically?
  24. I wonder if it's like the way the parking brake can seize if its not used much, just a thought. I must say I do use my blind a far bit, especially when the early and late sun comes through the rear.
