  1. You're not kidding it's too long! Ever heard of the saying "in a nutshell?"😨😱
  2. Good point, and for me it would have to be my 69 Chevy Malibu in a rare right hand drive but poverty told me it had to go!
  3. How many times have I said "I wish I'd kept it" but still I don't learn!
  4. There is a picture of it somewhere on this forum but I wouldn't know where to find it, try searching under reversing cameras and you should find it. I mounted it in the corner on top of the dash, there's lots of space on the old LS dashboard! There you go, I found it. I'd forgotten how fab my old LS400 was inside!
  5. And don't you start to rely on it? I didn't have one on my LS but I have one on my GS, now I wouldn't want to be without one. I did fit one on the dash of an LS400 a few years ago, just £20 from eBay and an amazingly clear image.
  6. I think the SC looks its best in red, how about posting some pictures, everyone likes pictures!
  7. You know it makes sense! I've now had 4 LS's of varying ages and although I agree the MK400 is as bomb proof as it gets, the 430 is in my opinion a much better drive.
  8. Glad you're enjoying it. I had an LS with black leather and I have to say it was the easiest colour to care for, plus I really grew to like it.
  9. I bought a Triumph Herald once, absolutely mint, it even had clear plastic covers on the seats making them like new. Sadly the underside was only held together with a honeycomb of rust from front to rear!
  10. We look forward to hearing about your experiences with the car! What colour interior do you have?
  11. A great reminder of why the British motor industry went kaput. Well worth 25 minutes of viewing!
  12. That's a very good point! 😄
  13. I must admit to liking that GTi ☝
  14. It was driving a Morris Marina around the south of England for two years with absolutely no lumbar support that caused my back to go....badly!
  15. I would agree it sounds like a wheel bearing as it gets worse when turning, don't rule out an unevenly worn tyre though.
  16. If you look at used ones for sale some say "facelift" but as far as I know they are the same as pre-facelift. The front is worth the risk using a used shock but the rear means removing the seat, no easy task, so let's hope you don't need to. Are you sure it's not the height sensor?
  17. Are you looking for the front or rear? Also, are you wanting a used one or a new one?
  18. Well done, and thanks for that. I'm going to get back on this. I'm assuming the previous owners details aren't on the records? which is probably why they quoted data protection to me.
  19. You could risk a used one, or if you look on eBay you can buy a refurbished one from the US for about £150 Inc postage. Or you could try Rockauto, also in the US for a new one which would cost you far less than buying a new one here.
  20. I would be more than happy to own a car with that kind of interior. Wool seats in the Century, although leather is an option. The thought of doing a long drive with natural wool to rest my boney bott on sounds very appealing to me.
  21. Let me know how you get on. I'd like more info on mine and it's frustrating knowing they have records of all they've done but won't release them.
  22. Oh well, it's nice to dream, and according to my wife I do! And apologies to Derek for jumping onboard your post with my fantasy world!
  23. As good as it looks I've decided on the latest and very classic looking Toyota Century. Only problem is it's only available in Japan, and only 600 are made each year. It'll be hard to convince Mrs G to move to Japan just so I can buy a car I can't afford in a language I don't speak. Still, for better for worse eh?!
  24. Any Crown would do me, especially the late 80's early nineties. In fact the very latest model would do me too! I do believe I could live with this...
