  1. Well done John, nice to see it being cared for. We'll be looking forward to the updates.
  2. Now of course my car would be lost in the dust from some of the cars in this thread, but 0-way over 60 was very important today when challenged by someone half my age!!
  3. Disappointingly I don't have the Celsior boot mat! I do however have a couple of switches that I don't know the function of. Also because it has the wool seats I don't have the front heated, although the rear is. I don't remember my last 430 having it but the head restraints not only have power up and down but also power tilt adjustment, but maybe they all do.
  4. I'm in West Sussex, not far from Brighton (although thankfully far enough!)
  5. You're right Graham, it is a facelift version with sharper grille, reshaped head and tail lights and 6 speed transmission. I've had two pre-facelift models so I particularly wanted the newer shape. I'll get some quotes re undercoating I think.
  6. Yes, I believe that's so but if you want the whole lot at your disposal whenever you need it its lots of money or lots of conscience!
  7. Thanks, it'll be a shame to let our British winters attack it.
  8. Good idea, I may look into that.
  9. Techstream is Toyota's diagnostic software, it's expensive to buy but can be bought online for less than £20, but that's not to say its legal!
  10. Easy, I'll just thread these through some string and hang them up in various places!
  11. Yes, every Celsior I've seen seems to have them at the rear, and they also have extra thick mats as well. I'm getting used to the wool seats and I have to say they do feel great.
  12. I have tried Halfords, and although they look at the card with a "what's this?" expression they scan the card and it does work!
  13. True enough, and for some reason the last part of your comment made me think of Southern Rail!!😀
  14. That's a shame as they're about the closest to me.
  15. I did like it, after all we did a 2.5k road trip in it. It's just that the V8 bug is hard to shift. Also I love the amount of interior space. Plus I'm probably an idiot!
  16. Private sale is the only way to get top price, then you have the joy of tyre kickers etc. I px'd my GS and got a low price but it was hassle free which to me can be better than money!
  17. Yea, I got the auction grades and they are good.
  18. I've just looked and Guildford is there. Any idea of the general discount?
  19. So does every Lexus dealer take part in the gold members discount or just a few, and does anyone know if any in the Surrey/Hampshire area are involved? Also what is the discount generally? Thanks
  20. Nice one John! I took some photos of my underside while it was being checked over, as you say, like a three year old. Also the exhaust is stainless which surprised me. However, and there's always a however, one air strut has an oily misting so will need replacing soon. Considering the condition of everything else I'm not too bothered.
  21. I knew someone would know, that's the great value of this forum. Do I have to feed them for the duration of my ownership?
  22. Not every fault will put up a code, and as you say, it may just be one that hasn't been erased. When I bought a diagnostic kit for my Volvo I found a couple of old codes but no current faults.
  23. Thank you. I've really got no idea what it does or did.
  24. Glad to hear it, enjoy! We're off to Cornwall soon for a week and you can guess what I'm tempted to take! Problem is we have a dog so I'm afraid it's the estate car this time.
