  1. Our dog is always a bit unsure about car travel. Today she went in the back of the Celsior for the first time and even made cucumbers look hot! Totally calm.
  2. Both of my previous LS430's had rear sensors but not front ones. I do find the camera to be just as good and the front mast with a blue led tip is surprisingly good at letting me know where the front is. What I don't understand is if it does have self parking, where are the sensors? All of that aside, it is without a doubt the quietest LS I've owned which is nice.
  3. That's the bit I don't understand, mine doesn't have bumper sensors but I'm not sure if they're for the self parking anyway.
  4. You're probably right there, the voice of reason!
  5. I seem to remember hearing that Saab drivers wear hats. Did you sport the aforementioned millinery?
  6. So it's not just for the Japanese market. It's a shame you live so far away, you could show me how it works! Do you know where the sensors are, are they visible? I ask because oddly mine doesn't have the usual park assist sensors, just the rear camera and the little retractable mast on the front bumper.
  7. As above and above.
  8. Simply because they're cheap and it's a quick job. I thought I may as well have it done while it's raised up. Presumably they've been on the car all these years so I think it makes sense. Actually it was the mechanics suggestion but I think a good one, the parts are only £19. A little edit: I'm going to take a good look at the radiator to see if it looks OK. Because there isn't any corrosion anywhere I may leave it but I will check. Either way, because it's a Japanese spec it means it can be replaced with an aftermarket one without the need for modification which is helpful.
  9. Yes, a loan car should be offered as a matter of course I would think.
  10. I've gone for just the bushes at £45 the pair. The mechanic will press the new ones in and replace the anti roll bar bushes while he's at it. He's thoroughly checked all the other bushes and joints and all is fine. The work will be done next week hopefully.
  11. I guess there comes a time when we have to be sensible and logical. If I had space I would break a Lexus for parts which will pay back far more than a scrap yard. But then you may just want it off your hands. Sad to see one go though.
  12. I realise it'll be nothing like a Nissan Juke to drive or in its build, and of course I'd happily drive one. All I meant was it looks a lot like every other vehicle of its type. It wasn't a criticism, just my personal thought.
  13. Thank you, I really appreciate that. It's just a bit of fun!
  14. Still, at least I'm getting expert advice here! For one moment I thought I was hearing voices, but thankfully you've confirmed that I'm not. What a clever car.
  15. So trying to work out what my reverse camera screen says, I've used Google translate, and when I press various options it says: "Tandem parking" and "Be behind the next car" Does that mean anything to anyone? I'm keen to know what it does because it's clearly more than just a camera. All good fun!
  16. Welcome to the LOC Dean. There is a fair bit of info floating around regarding the link so hopefully someone will come along shortly to help you with it.
  17. Yes, exactly the same as mine, makes no sense. When I tried to use Google translate I got something about the husband! Maybe the parking thing is something to do with this?
  18. I didn't think it was available in 2003.
  19. In the display which seems to be the section for the rear view camera I get this. Google translate seems to suggest parallel parking. Can anyone confirm what it is?
  20. That's a possibility, we do have a lot here.
