    When I bought my Volvo a few years ago I was around 4k short after trade in and putting my own money in, so I used a credit card with 24 months interest free, worked a treat.

    No, mine resets the fuel average as well.

    I just press reset on the steering wheel.

    Minor woes then really. Not sure what you mean about not manually setting the average fuel consumption on the LS430, with mine you just press re-set whenever you want.

    Sounds about right. I bought a genuine (Denso) one for my GS, I got it from Eurocarparts for £145 if I remember correctly, although Lexus wanted £195.

    It's ugly in a beautiful sort of way! I love the seat back covers, like something a granny would have on her armchairs.

    Isn't it amazing how these cars can have such low mileage....and a 4.5 which is just about as new! Just out of interest, what's an Elgrand like to drive? I believe the 3.5 has the same engine as the 350Z?

    Hmm, I could happily live with that, it's like an old Ford Mercury or similar, but then it's my love of American cars that first got me hooked on LS's being similar in shape.

    How is is it to get parts?

    There has been a few posts recently about wipers and properly cleaning windscreens. I recently bought Bosch blades but still I get the fine misting when they wipe, very dodgy when the sun hits it.

    Since buying an import I've become much more aware of others. It's surprising how many there are. I think the Elgrand is my favourite (after my Celsior of course!)

    Pop your eyes back in for a moment. Which one offends you, the estate or the very 70/80's saloon?

    I really like that. I wonder which Toyota it shares parts with.

    A bit blurred but I'm sure it disables the interior alarm sensors in case you lock pets/children inside.

    Although as Neil says, it may be worth replacing one. My Celsior had a leaky rear strut so I bought one from a breakers for £170, £75 labour and all is good.

    I know an LS strut is about £850! A set of coilovers would cost the same.

    And just so that you know, another member recently changed his RX air system to coilovers and it seemed to work fine. I went to see it as I was in the area and I was really impressed with what he did, and relatively inexpensive.

    Definitely not that one, although when we've discussed over the years the disappointment that Lexus didn't make an LS estate, that's pretty close.

    I think you'll possibly struggle to get parts for a Crown, not so with a Celsior.

    Thanks Mark. I'm thinking of a cheap eBay set, but as I say I'll probably just do the two corners. I find the camera is really good, it's just the corners where the unseen (especially in the dark) concerns me. I'll get on my back and have a good look tomorrow. The main problem is getting back up!
