  1. I hope you manage it ok. If the picture was sharper it would be much easier to see how it fits.
  2. If your picture is showing the relevant plug then it looks like the clip is at the top, so it looks like you need to push the female part down to release it. I remember doing it on my GS and I had to push down and pull, both with the same hand!
  3. Just to add, I'm sure you know that it doesn't disconnect from the actual sensor end!
  4. I don't know if this will help, it shows how the plug fits on a Denso sensor. It's hard to explain but the plug is only held in with a small clip. On some you press the male plug down, but on some you lift the female plug up.
  5. As Colin says, the connection has a piece that needs pressing down to release it, it only goes down slightly. I assume you also have a slotted socket to remove the sensor?

  7. What's done is done, and quiet honestly it would have been my attitude, five great years so just let it go. I am interested to know what the faults with the suspension were though if that's possible.
  8. Is that instead of the radiator for transmission cooling or an addition for towing?
  9. Sorry, I should have said. It's the connection on the radiator, one each side for the transmission cooling. As you can see they start to rust and expand allowing coolant to mix with transmission fluid causing failure. Also I believe the two inner o rings can eventually fail causing the same problem. That's why changing the radiator on an LS430/460 makes much sense, or just fit an oil cooler and bypass the radiator altogether, both easy jobs to do.
  10. The first one listed on eBay is the correct pattern, the second one isn't which is the Rockauto pattern. The main thing to be concerned about is corrosion around the connections where the trans fluid hoses join the radiator. I would replace it without question, it could save you a lot of money and hassle in the long run.
  11. They clearly replaced the cap on the slightly later one but you still need to have the outlet on the far left of the radiator to connect to the reservoir. The US one doesn't have that on either of the Rockauto pictures. This is reservoir on the US one. If you look on eBay there are now some with the correct fitting showing a close up of the nozzle in question. I think it's one of the first ones listed. Have a look and you'll see what I mean.
  12. I'm not familiar with any LS430 that doesn't have a cap. Can you post a photo of yours? There seems to be two basic designs, one for the US and Japanese market, and the one we have in the UK. The former has a different expansion reservoir joined to the radiator, whereas the UK one has a separate expansion reservoir on the left of the engine compartment. Unless you have an import you need the radiator with the nozzle on the far left which connects to the expansion reservoir. Nearly all of the aftermarket ones, including the US don't have that, so I'm guessing that's the most important thing to look for. All of my three LS430's have had caps.
  13. It is because it has the 6 speed box, reversing camera and Bluetooth, as well as a sharper front and rear. You get slightly more modern looking wheels and all wood trim rather than brushed aluminium.
  14. I slightly better option than the left hand drive one that's still available for 8.5k! Looks to be a very good deal if everything adds up.

  16. I'd be very surprised if you couldn't get the one in Walthamstow for £3,500, or maybe a bit less. The biggest setback would be getting to Walthamstow, the traffic there is grim to say the least. Contact him, see what he'll take, he may just want to shift it.
  17. Talking of imports, those two for sale by Abdul N don't seme to be shifting and reasonably priced. Wonder why that could be? I wondered that as well. Having met the man after another member bought one from him, he does seem genuine. He runs his business from a private house in London so would have low overheads I guess. They are both in kilometres but not the end of the world, and he's open to price negotiation.

  19. The reason I ask is that we discussed this on another model and came to the conclusion its not possible to have half air and half springs, so it's interesting that you do!

  21. I went back to Halfords this week to buy some DRL's, and I found a staff member! I bought a pair of Ring lights at £21 with the discount, the very same lights are £39 at ECP. This time the guy had no trouble with the card or the 15%
  22. It is a tad overpriced, but having seen it it's like a new car, above and below. You simply wouldn't find one that looks like it elsewhere. I also reckon he'd take 5k for it as he's had it awhile.
