  1. That's what the owners of the b&b that we stayed at in Saltzburg said, the Japanese come for two weeks but only stay in one place for one day, then it's on to the next.
  2. Yes, I notice on their listing the 400 isn't mentioned but I would contact them to ask, they seem to respond well to questions.
  3. Almost on a weekly basis Dan from AF will respond to someone's insurance questions so he is a member.
  4. Have you tried messaging Dan from AF who often posts on the forum to see if he can help?
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4Pcs-Logo-LED-Door-Courtesy-Light-Ghost-Shadow-Laser-Projector-Fit-For-Lexus/264237608712?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I think they're posted from Hong Kong but still arrived in 3 days.
  6. I didn't expect much for what they cost so I was really surprised the first time I saw them when it was getting dark. I've kept my originals as well, just in case.
  7. I did briefly mention it, the car performed brilliantly. The main problem was the 450 mile drive from Luxembourg to Saltzburg which was done in constant and at times torrential rain which reduced the speed needed on a long drive. And because of the snow the Eagles nest was closed, as it was last year. Still, it's an excuse to go again. Although we really enjoyed the whole experience, the biggest downer was the seemingly endless roadworks and traffic delays on the German motorways. I know they have to maintain them but they seemed to be doing them all at once! Once again we were struck by the beauty of Luxembourg and are considering a separate trip there at some time. We love walking and the walks in the woodland areas of Luxembourg are just stunning. Our hotel was just 50 yards from the woods so it'll be a good base for next time.
  8. No need to rub it in! Although I do have a good stash of Rioja now after coming back via Calais on Saturday.
  9. To be honest John, sitting on my garden when the sun goes in it feels like Winter already!
  10. I don't know why they're called ghost lights but after being told about them by another member I bought a set of these. Less than £12 for the four, 1 minute each to fit and very bright and clear. Very impressed with them. Admittedly it doesn't say Celsior but you can't have it all!
  11. It annoyed me the way they got me to park beside them and then moved their car behind mine so I couldn't escape! That and the way they had no sense of humour whatsoever. Only 4 other Lexus cars spotted during the whole trip, an LC500, a CT, an RX and something else that looked like every other car on the road!
  12. Having got back yesterday from our Austrian trip I discovered, as expected, that my Celsior is limited to 112mph. That's fine, but I also discovered my cruise control is limited to 65mph! So if anyone knows how/if cruise can be changed it would be very helpful. That aside the car performed perfectly with silence and supreme comfort and amazing MPG. I also discovered the importance of having ALL documents with me after being stopped by the German police in an unmarked car. They seemed sooo disappointed!
  13. Maybe it's just older stock like the X reg LS400 I see often.
  14. Hi Ben, the 160k isn't an issue but I'd be wanting to know what the knocking is, especially as it has a vibration. The two could well be linked to suspension/steering components which are expensive. I'd want that thoroughly checked. From what you've said I'd be very wary and maybe 2.5k depending on the body/interior. If the suspension is ok and the knocking is nothing serious then maybe 3.5k max.
  15. We've got a guy here in West Sussex who is so knowledgeable that I'd be happy to recommend him, just as he was recommended to me by another member. He said he loves doing the LS cam belt!
  16. I would suggest looking first at the compressor connections. Maybe unplug and clean with an electrical cleaner.
  17. Anyway, the brand is much rarer than most so the plural is not often called for!
  18. Interestingly the Denso fitting has WD-40 stamped on it. Not sure if it means use some or just coincidence but a little squirt helps it slip in.
  19. Have you thought about a Celsior? There are a few out there and you'll get low mileage and a generally rust free underbelly! You'll also more likely to get one well maintained.
  20. Me too. I bought Denso ones from ECP a few weeks ago, £18 the pair and direct fit with no fiddly adapters.
  21. I agree. Sometimes when I really let the car go, it still amazes me just how powerful it is, although even flat out you still only get a growl from what is probably still one of the best V8 engines ever produced. I've had two different people telling me it's like an electric car being so quiet.
  22. That is brilliant! Everyone should watch it. Good post!
  23. I'm not familiar with your model but I would be straight back to Lexus and ask them why this wasn't picked up. It wouldn't go from good to split like that in five weeks surely.
