  1. Direct fit Denso blades for me from ECP when they have 50% off, works out at about £16 for the pair. Made in Japan.
  2. True, but the early engine was different, everything was visible so it was manufactured in such a way that it was pleasing to the eye.👀 The later one with the cover off looks a mess.
  3. It may be better if you can post in English rather than Polish.
  4. I think just the fact these cars are rare and that shocks replacement is also rare, it'll be hard to find someone who has ordered them from anywhere. Did you try Arnott?
  5. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-LS400-1UZ-Turbo-Manual-project-Drift-Car-CRAZY-SPEC-JDM-DRIFT/254300931274?hash=item3b358444ca:g:7q4AAOSwKYFdCqUd
  6. The leaking boot is common across the LS400 range but easily rectified.
  7. I've said this before on this forum, I believe the LS lost that classic limo look after the LS430, and really, that's the thing that got me interested in them in the first place. So although I'm sure the LS460 is a fine car, the shape just doesn't appeal to me.
  8. I have a TV, a parking aid on the front bumper which pops up with a blue led, the passenger front seat and head rest folds forward to give the rear passenger loads of room and a clear view, very thick "Celsior" over mats, nice long grab handles on the back of the front seats, the original and unused "Celsior" rear tape deck, and a sensor of some kind on the dash that I've yet to determine the function of. Oh yes, and a DVD player! And something I only discovered recently was cornering lights. And the front fogs are yellow which I like. Also the side and rear windows are very dark tinted. Only downside is the spare wheel is a space saver.
  9. I realise some would consider this sad, but I've always thought the look alone of the original LS engine was a visual masterpiece. Now they've got plastic over them but I can remember how much I loved the look of my 93 LS engine!
  10. So have you found many quirks that UK models didn't have? Mine has several, most not a great deal of use but amusing all the same!
  11. So you've got wool seats like me. I wasn't sure at first but I'm glad I did it as they just feel so good, so soft. Do you know what year yours was imported?
  12. And number 4, who cares, there isn't much we can do about it.😳
  13. It seems that lots of Celsior buyers re-bagde to Lexus, people asked me if I'd do the same. Personally I like having the Toyota badge as it confuses many an enquirer!
  14. I must say I've never used a clay bar but I have been meaning to. How long does it take you to do such a big car?
  15. I had a look but could only find them in New South Wales!😳
  16. I bought a cheapish polisher, a GMC, which is a budget machine but I bought it because it was one of the top best buys according to Autoexpress. It's dual action which is important as you're far less likely to do any damage! Also great for just applying wax.
  17. I haven't used the machine polisher on it yet but I do intend to soon. I used it on my previous LS and it really did make a big difference.
  18. It wasn't too bad really, nothing more than just a wash and a quick wax. Although living just half a mile from the seafront we get a fair bit of wind, so being so dry lately it got a layer of dust on it within two hours!
  19. I'm with you on this, I get much satisfaction from doing some of my own work. Sadly my 1930's garage was built for tiny Ford Populars so its all got to be done on the drive.
  20. Thank you, although I feel the credit may need to go to the manufacturer!
  21. You could try the Arnott shocks from Rockauto, £460 plus shipping, the problem being you would probably need to replace the pair, although not such a bad idea. Looking online it may just be worth an email: info@ArnottEurope.com
  22. I know we say it often, but how many rivals to Lexus would still look this good after 16 years!
  23. 😬😯😳💀 A close call indeed!
  24. Personally I just don't think the Mintex name is what it once was. I've always been happy with Blueprint discs but I'm not even sure if they're as good now. Try the Lexus eBay shop, their prices for brakes aren't bad.
