  1. Wow, I'd have been reaching for the valium halfway through that!
  2. Welcome back to Lexus ownership! I had a 2005 GS for a while and I think it still looks as good as most cars made today!
  3. Which makes me wonder why some are hesitant about cleaning it! It's easy and inexpensive to do.
  4. Is the gas ok? If the gas is very low due to a leak the clutch won't engage I believe.
  5. Beautiful! How about some photos of the Panasonic system?
  6. As I sprayed rather a lot of cleaner I left it for a couple of hours! If only every job on a car was as easy eh?
  7. Lexus heat shields seem to be like their alloy wheels, not the best, but at least the large washer usually saves the day.
  8. I think I've got all that, I'm guessing it's just a case of knowing how to install it....sadly it's beyond the capabilities of a mere carpenter!😟 I'll take a picture tomorrow and maybe you can confirm I've got the correct stuff.
  9. I managed to get Techstream on my laptop about a year ago but couldn't get it to connect to the car, the seller said something about "a driver issue" any idea?
  10. Maybe it's like Frankenstein's monster, starting to come to life!😱
  11. Cleaned mine yesterday with proper MAF sensor cleaner. Whether it needed doing or not I'm not sure, but I do know it was black when it came out and shiny when it went back! A two minute job plus drying time.
  12. I'm not sure what else to suggest. It does sound like an ECU that has to be told how to behave again, although I wonder why. Hopefully someone will offer something more constructive. I'm sure you've tried it with a spare key?
  13. Such a difficult one this. I seem to remember on my LS400 the remote locking could be disabled by pressing a button somewhere below the steering wheel, but I'm not sure if the 430 has that. So how long has it been like this?
  14. That's one of the things I like the most. Most people know the name Lexus, but it confuses people seeing a big car with a Toyota badge! And when I say Toyota Celsior they usually say "Don't you mean Celica?"
  15. Welcome to the LOC! The sportcross is a rare beast which I know little about but I'm sure help will be along soon. I'm guessing some decent history would be a good start.
  16. Hmm, when you had the sat nav issue did you get around to disconnecting the battery? If not it may just be worth trying it for this problem, leaving it for 20 mins or so. Is it a recent problem?
  17. Good stuff, always nice when something works and doesn't cost!
  18. We'll be looking forward with anticipation to the photos when you get one!
  19. Maybe try reinserting the nav disc, you have to remove the two bolts to lift the front up.
  20. As far as I'm aware the most common comments seem to be that the LS460 is fairly hard on suspension and suspension related parts. Plus they also have air suspension so getting one with a decent warranty seems essential.
  21. I can't comment on the RX but I had them replaced on my Celsior, the old ones pressed out and vice versa. The new bushes were about £25 for the pair, and labour as I recall about £75, but it's a different vehicle.
  22. I'm guessing ARB bush as they are a bit D shaped?
  23. I take it you are referring to the front bearing? Why not take a chance and get one of the new ones that I mentioned on a recent post, a complete new hub bearing assembly with abs sensor for about £40 on eBay. If it was me I'd give one a go.
