  1. In my experience only regret follows selling a good LS, if you don't need the money keep it, or a motoring void will haunt you!
  2. I wasn't aware there was a specific kit for the SC. I've just fitted some to mine but I had to shop around online to find something that would look right. The lights were fairly cheap and the correct fitting kit was about £30 to enable them to come on when the engine is started, and go off when the headlights are switched on.
  3. Let's talk your car up again! I think it looks fab, and in my opinion the DHP wheels are the best looking LS400 wheels by far. Yes I know tyres are expensive but it wouldn't put me off. Definitely revise your listing re the cambelt.
  4. "Xenon lamps suffer from Lumen depreciation" That's precisely why HID's should be changed in pairs, I discovered that some years ago when I replaced one duff bulb only to find the difference was what you might call striking!
  5. Good luck with Adrian Flux, they've not been very helpful to me. I wonder how far common sense is allowed to prevail. I've just put DRL's on mine which technically is a modification!
  6. I can only assume it's down to saving money. I recently drove at night on the A358 in Somerset and I simply couldn't see the road whereas years ago the cats eyes would have made all the difference. I could see where the cats eyes used to be but we're now filled in. Maybe a certain 16 year old Swede should spend her energy on campaigning for safer roads before some of us become extinct from driving into unseen hedges.
  7. Ooh, news to me, I'll be on my hands and knees later!
  8. It doesn't help that so many of our roads no longer have cats eyes, or if they do they seem to be worn out.
  9. Just my thoughts here. Last year I went to see a Celsior like mine with another member, that one had coil suspension not air. Driving it around those London roads it felt no different at all from air suspension, so I agree with Herbie, what was the point of Lexus doing it in the first place. Drive an LS400, you can't improve on that!
  10. I feel the same about mine, it may last many more years, or not, but I've decided not to let the thought of it spoil driving in supreme comfort. As we say so many times on this forum, we rarely hear about the air suspension models that go on and on without any issues. Just enjoy!
  11. But he's saying he replaced the wheels and doesn't have sensors in them, so I'm not sure where that leaves him... apart from out of pocket soon maybe!
  12. If money was absolutely no object, if I could convince an insurance company of its value, and I could have a real professional inspect it for half a day and all was 100% then....maybe. Although I don't think I could go back to a 400 from a 430.
  13. It'll be interesting to hear from you in a week or two after you've really got used to it.
  14. Then I guess you've got the TPMS, the sensors are built into the valve with the batteries inside the wheel.
  15. Very good, I thought I was watching the Proclaimers for a moment, younger version of course!
  16. Who could ever complain of a car serving them for 300k eh? A great testimony to the build quality!
  17. That may be the case. My Celsior has a completely different radiator/coolant reservoir setup to the UK ones.
