  1. Remember we're talking here about the possibility of getting it for peanuts. I'd risk it.
  2. It's only been two years, it's hardly an old barn find!
  3. The suspension is likely to go down being left so long and if you can see a decent outcome go for it, sounds like you wouldn't have to pay much. Did they say why they stopped using it?
  4. My system is still pressurised with a standard radiator cap but the coolant reservoir is mounted on the actual radiator which is hard to see so really the air intake has to be removed to check it properly. Not that its dropped over a year.
  5. Strange don't you think, that there are two different setups for the same car? I often wonder why as both variations do exactly the same thing.
  6. The Lexus has been reduced and he's also got a VW pickup but that MUST be a safe buy because it says "private sale"
  7. Having driven a Nissan GTR, I have to say if I was into cars that required a neck brace when accelerating I wouldn't consider anything else, it was simply stunning!
  8. We used to have a Lexus dealer just 6 miles away but they closed a few years ago, now the closest is at the best an hour's drive.
  9. A good result! I wonder if they would have fitted an unknown brand or a recon unit.
  10. Assuming that included a re-gas not too bad at all.
  11. That does surprise me, unless the labour charge made up for it!
  12. So a main dealer fitted a part you supplied? That's unusual I would have thought.
  13. Is your Celsior performing well? It must be well over a year now.
  14. Phil, this is a members car, he posted a few days ago about his mishap and no airbags were deployed.
  15. It was two years ago so I can't remember exactly, but I really don't remember doing much stripping down at all, just a bit of plastic. The hardest part was getting the plug to disconnect as there isn't much room to get your fingers in. I used a small o2 sensor socket (the one where you put another socket off centre) which made access easier and soaked it first with penetrating fluid, ideally overnight. I guess being a hybrid you've got other obstacles to contend with.
  16. On my ex GS300 I did the pre cat sensors from above, certainly the drivers side is fairly straightforward. As long as the wires are long enough I don't see why they can't be swapped. I believe it's the downstream sensors that have very different wire lengths.
  17. I've just looked and unfortunately they no longer sell them, Rockauto would be your best bet I think.
  18. Looking at the damage you'd think the airbags would be hanging like bunting but I guess the panels absorbed most of it. And you're right, it is just a car, but really annoyingly a car that gets deep under your skin!
  19. Not if you buy the UK spec one. You can buy a Denso rad from Rockauto and it'll fit because the US setup is the same as Japan.
  20. About £120ish, a Koyo from ECP. However, a Koyo isn't a direct fit for a UK LS but is for a Celsior.
  21. Yes it is, what a shame. Still, nothing lasts forever.
  22. The first port of call should be to plug in a diagnostic tool. It could be an ABS sensor, could be an o2 sensor or several other things. If it's something like that a £15 code reader should tell you more.
  23. I'm just curious, is the RX particularly easy to target?
  24. Dynamic Handling Pack. Bigger wheels, harder suspension, more wood in the interior and probably other things I've forgotten! Actually, in my opinion, the best looking LS400 wheels.
  25. It seems to feel better at speed, but of course an old one was leaking oil so I suppose it's bound to feel better! They are certainly equal to OEM struts in every way.
