  1. I guess you're right, it probably is an electrical issue, maybe because they rarely get used something has seized. Strangely my Celsior isn't fitted with them.
  2. Having met both you and your very nice LS today I absolutely agree (and I mustn't leave your lovely wife out) To be fair to Dacia they've come miles in terms of refinement. In the mid 90's we were in Romania and the Dacia's of the period were grim to say the least, now they win awards!
  3. Well you're doing a grand job!
  4. That sounds like a good result, what mileage are you at?
  5. In his own words he "lost confidence" I guess that's understandable when you're spending 50k!
  6. Interesting observations. Having had two 400's and three 430's it's not always easy to decide which is best but ultimately I lean towards the 430 as the best in terms of comfort, power and driving pleasure, although if I was to have another drive of a 400, which I haven't done for 5 years, I may change my mind!
  7. I've always said the early engine without all the plastic covers is a work of art, such a picture. How many car engines can you say that about!
  8. Yes, just checked and it's Leicester.
  9. I'm guessing this is a rare thing. Apparently it was coming from the front, that's all they said. The dealer is in contact with Japan over it. I don't know if they are all V8's but this is. He lives in Surrey so I'm guessing it's a dealer not too far away, I will text him this evening to find out where it's from.
  10. Interestingly a friend of mine was planning to buy an LC500 from a main dealer just last week, 11k on the clock, but when they did a 150 point pre sale check they found an oil leak so had to remove it from sale! To say he was disappointed is an understatement.
  11. Not a silly question at all as they do only work with the headlights on!
  12. We've mentioned this before on the LOC, parts that are designed to move should be used regularly. My parking brake is a fairly useless affair but a couple of times during the week I apply it, just to keep things moving.
  13. I've just sent a message asking when the belt was replaced!
  14. What is it you need to know? As far as I'm aware the only update is a newer disc which will still be very poor compared to a stand alone system.
  15. I thought they'd look up to you in awe and wonder thinking "what a clever fellow, if only one had the skill to do one's repairs, one is sooo impressed"
  16. Aren't these the bearings we discussed recently and were available on eBay for very little money?
  17. Yes, Grove Garage, although they may charge a bit more. Mike, you'll remember the access down the mews to Grove, well they've moved to bigger premises in Brighton but the access and lack of parking make it a little more tricky than some, but at least they're in one building now instead of various mews buildings!
  18. Hi George, it's between Worthing and Littlehampton just off the A 259 so sadly not that close to Crawley.
  19. One of the things I've been constantly warned about is the water pump which I'm told is more likely to fail than a belt, but in turn taking the belt out with it.
  20. Just as long as you don't mind the word "like" 6 times in every sentence!
  21. Don't bother, I'll ask one of my neighbours small children!
  22. If I Googled everything I may as well donate my brain to science, I'd have no further use for it.
  23. Apart from Lexuchap, lexusbloke and jaguarbloke, his latest one is funinthesun with various dots and dashes in-between.
  24. Well unfortunately Phil can't work out how to post the links, probably because he left school at 15!
