  1. Did you get it sorted?
  2. Did you give it a try?
  3. its already sticking up, just tug upward and pull toward rear door to slide it out
  4. Only problem is you could be driving along the road and suddenly you need to slam the brakes on and that is when there is load pop like packet of crisp opening.... its scares the passengers in the car lol Now about what you have suggested car .. in Feb the car went to lexus for new front ball joint replacement, i did ask lexus to investigate the clunk sound, but they said they didnt have enough time ($$$ 🙃). so they would have had the car in the air, ive had wheel alignment done twice this year too! dont ask bloody potholes. I think i will go round the whole car and check for anything loose, but my mind keeps going to front of car as sometime when it happens it feel like its coming from the front of the car. I will start with brake pad inspection... maybe even visit indie mechanics for suggestions.
  5. The tab looks fine, its the yellow piece that you can see in the picture. I would take the whole strip off and clip it back in again.
  6. Generally shouldn't ever come loose unless someone has tried to remove it by force.
  7. Send a picture of the issue, I'm well versed with removing the chrome window strips.
  8. Reviving this topic as im still experiencing the clunk noise when breaking, it feel like it's coming from the front. Never happens over speed bump. The way to replicate the issue is to: reverse, brake <clunk> then drive forward and brake <clunk>. Really starting to p!$$ me off now. I plan to take brake pads apart for annual clean and lubrication.l in a few weeks. Looking for any other suggestions? Is it possible the control arm is loose? As I said in my earlier post it all started the day of the MOT back in January when they must have had it on the rolling road.
  9. That doesn't look right, the is300h (and is250/200t gen 3) have self leveling headlight, what you have linked to looks old skool. I replaced my headlight last year and that parts on eBay page was nowhere to be found on the headlight itself.
  10. Sounds like you are being quoted for a new headlight. Call the dealer and ask them for the part number, they will tell you. Then report back here with the part number and we'll help you with the next step.
  11. A far better and modern option is to upgrade the unit to an Android system.
  12. I would go with this: https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-is-phase-3-auxiliary-12v-starter-battery/
  13. Thanks Matt... that looks like a whole lot of effort for virtually no gain! Why is this even included as its not practical. Having the ability to play back MP4/AVI from usb would make more sense.
  14. Depends.. I personally would for a low profile spoiler, that one in the pic looks bulky but each to their own 🙂
  15. Mines didn't show any fault either but given we have both cleaned the hybrid fan last year and this year they detected a historic DTC for P3000 makes it highly likely it was triggered by the fan removal.
  16. Hey Colin, i had the P3000 in January when i went for service.... Lexus cleared and told me to drive it 300 miles then bring it back for free hybrid check. Did that and went back and passed 2nd time round. In my case i still suspect the hybrid fan might have triggered it as last year i took the fan out to clean it.
  17. Hey Folks, Ive been curious about the A/V Screen that can be found when cycling through the media button on the Premium Navigation. There isn't much mentioned in the manual but im sure ive read somewhere that it can playback video via usb. The person that tried it said mp4 format worked, i tried a sample video file and couldn't get it to work even put parking brake on. Anyone know more about this and how do you get it to function?
  18. Im tempted to buy rear mudflaps at the very least, the bottom corner of the arch is starting to look like meteor craters 🙄
  19. Try here: https://lexusbreakers.co.uk/lexus-used-parts-search/ search for "Wheel"
  20. I went with Glaco as I like Soft99 product
  21. Maybe a little off topic - I use Glaco rain replant, amazing stuff. Wash windows, clay bar, dry then apply glaco and buff of when hazed... Rain just glides off the car really amazing results been a good few months since i applied the stuff.
  22. RockAuto...meh only order from them once and paid the fee What your saying maybe true but ive never order more than £70 at any given time from Amayama and in the grand scheme of things what he's looking to order is never going to go above £135 anyway. 🤷‍♂️
  23. Go with Amayama - half the price of LPD Ive bought loads of parts from Amayama shipped from both Japan and UAE arrive very quick.
