  1. Nothing in the list to say "open/close windows using key fob?
  2. I was being sarcastic 😂 Besides surely painting the caliper you are protecting them from the rust and thus ensuring optimal braking performance. 🫠
  3. I had another thought that came to mind about bthis stupid stupid caliper painting rule insurance companies have... Changing brake pads to non-oem surely must be classed as a modification in their stupid books 😂
  4. Why why why 😬
  5. WT Fudge!! How's on earth is painting caliper classed as a mod??? I didn't realise you would gain 30HP by doing so 😂😂😂 But seriously, you are painting to 1) protect from rust 2) improve visual appearance of car So by definition you can have any colour as long as its silver??? How is that any different from Painting it red, black, blue, orange??? And if you have to replace calipers..it will come in a finished.. you guesses it.. Silver Insurance companies need an overhaul!!
  6. Amazing results, good work 👍 Here's to another 13 years 😁
  7. I find the the most disturbing aspect of the boot: When i first got the car i thought maybe the previous own broke the plastic cover leaving the arm exposed... turns out this is how the boot really is on 3rd gen!! Visually it's something you would expect on a fiat and not a Lexus! Why is it not full enclosed in plastic to hide it make it visually appealing?? 😞
  8. I agree button should have been standard in this day and age especially on 3rd generation.
  9. I think what you are looking for can be changed by clicking on the compass icon "N" This will change the North direction.
  10. Take the wheels off and put them in the display cabinet 😂😂😂😂😂 Do you have the name of the specific colour they used?
  11. All connectors are located at the back of radio unit. Could be a loose connection. You will have to pull the radio out to check.
  12. Just put of curiosity it's not the ASC that you have dialed up? The Active Sound Control dial can be found on the right hand side. If dialed up it can make a droaning sound.
  13. I've always gone with OEM even when I did mines last year. I like the OEM disk at least the rear cause the centre hub comes painted from factory and looks smarter long term, I've had Bosch disc in the past and they rusted in no time making them unsightly. I have also used brembo pads in the past too. Go with whatever you prefer/can afford.
  14. You have a 2015 so it would be the HID version, and no the f-sport headlight is not different. I replaced my driver side one last year and paid around £460 from Lexus Parts Direct. I wouldn't bother with used ones on eBay as you don't know if they might have condensation or some other issues given the amount of effort you will need to go through in removing the headlight.
  15. Excuse my poor grammar. Should have been braking and not breaking! 😬 what happens when your in a rush and the brain CBA on a Friday afternoon 😂
  16. My final update on this.. turns out the caliper carrier bolts weren't anywhere near as tight as they should have been so when breaking there would have been enough slack to cause the clunk noise. All sorted by my indie garage.
  17. That's quite annoying to hear and not impressed that by 2015 they still had the issue. Also annoying have to replace parts in the car with older parts.
  18. I think you if you connect another battery in parallel so that power is not lost during the battery swap out. Otherwise safest bet is go or Lexus and let them handle it.
  19. @morg75 i thought the issue was only limited to 2013/2014 models.... Not yet heard of a 2015 having the issue but you seem to imply otherwise??
  20. So i took the brakes apart on Thursday night to clean and relubricate hoping this would resolve my issue. while its much better than before its still not solved. What i did discover was when i had the tyre off on the rear n/s (passenger) when i tried to wiggle the whole suspension/control arm section it was making a strange squeakish clunky type sound, i then checked the rear o/s (driver) and that was solid and no noise. At this point its beyond my tool and skill level, ive got friday off so will be going along to local indie to get to the bottom of the issue. since the brake clean i can replicate issue by: reverse > brake [clunk clunk] > forward > brake [clunk] and then fine for a while. Also see to get the noise when on a downward slope and braking.
  21. I bought an after market module to get the pressure reading. fitting can be seen here:
  22. my last car had it but the current one doesnt have it enabled. Yes techstream is required to enable it. Reasoning? People were accidently hitting the button on the fob resulting in window being left during rain/snow. Tbh there should have been an in-car setting option to enable it rather than techstream.
  23. Have you tried putting in the correct air presure then pressing the TMPS reset button located in the driver footwell You can refer to this video: 0:25 shows you location of it
  24. They do indeed, i spent a good 40mins last summer tapping on that undertray, the amount of debris that kept falling out was insane
  25. Fair enough, must have broken clips if it does come off again.
