  1. Replace the latch, there is a way to manually reset it, but I'm willing to bet the latch is on its way out... I had the same issue on my IS250 mk2.. I bought a used 2014 latch for mk3 model and fitted it. Give this a try 1st:
  2. Have you checked the tool tray in the boot? I would still lean towards suspension however. Keep us posted
  3. Spare wheel isn't ideal if you have a family and the boot is full. I've no issue in purchasing a spare wheel and keeping it into he garage, In all my years all my flats have been while at home obviously from a nail the night before. But I'm not fan of the sealant gunk it's just a shame in the is300h the battery takes up the boot space. I will also admit I've never had breakdown cover in the 25 years of driving what can ever wrong in the Toyota/Lexus 🤣 but in my view that is the middle ground.
  4. And where do i keep that? 😂
  5. A few weeks ago car went for service and i was advised the Tyre Sealant has expired 2 years ago.... Funnily they never mentioned that in the last 2 services i had. Anyway anybody know where i can get a replacement bottle from? LPD only sell the full kit and actually have 2 listed 1 at £72 and 1 at £108. Or any suggestions for a 3rd part sealant bottle? And to order the £78 kit from Japan with 6 day shipping is £25 + postage which im sure wont be that much 😂
  6. Just giving me final update on this. I had MOT in December and the tester said the headlight was low but within tolerance levels and that despite try he couldn't reach the vertical adjustment screw and only did the horizontal. Fast forward and i had my Service done at Lexus on Friday and i asked for headlights level to be looked at. The technician stated they don't have an MOT station and thus don't have access to a lamp to check level but compared to the markings on their door the levels were lower but stated its a lower down car, he asked if i wanted them adjusted he could take car over to Toyota next door as they have an MOT station, i told them to go ahead. So i went to collect the car and the technician said the MOT stations were fully booked so he couldn't access to the lamp but he made the adjust best he could while ensuring it doesn't fail MOT next time he also showed me how to adjust them. They vertical adjustment is made from the area in red (see bottom left and right in the image above) Screwdriver is inserted into the plastic trim that runs along the bonnet. Here is a closeup courtesy of @In_a_state I have not been on a dark road since the technician made the adjustment but im sure it will be far better visibility that what it was prior to it and next time i get an MOT i can tell the tester how to adjust the vertical alignment and get it done properly using their lamp. Hope this Helps 🙂
  7. The calibration never worked for me and seller refunded my money but here is how I fixed it, my theory was whoever painted the wheels randomly shoved the tpms into each tyre, which is fine if you do not have a display to give you pressure readings because if the tpms light came on you would need to check all 4 corners anyway. But the tpms would originally be registered to each corner correctly so when you add a display you would find some corners display incorrectly. In my case 3 corner's were incorrect. FL-RR FR-RL I had to fix in in 2 phases. Phase 1 swap rear tyres around: FL-RR RL-FR Now left side is fixed. Phase 2 wait to replace all 4 tyres, then ask the tyre guy to swap the tpms on right side from front to back. RL-FR FL-RR This is how I corrected each tyre corner. Now I know which tyre has incorrect tyre pressure at any given time.
  8. can you send a picture of them installed please.. i still cannot work out where they are supposed to be installed as there is no obvious holes for them.
  9. I just took a look at mines and I have no holes for those clips, instead the lid has 3 screws. Here is where I have fitted the plastic pads:
  10. Just updated my last post, Lexus Part Direct sell them... i did't know they existed either until 5mins ago lol
  11. or you could try these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005477958475.html?src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=494-037-6276&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&albcp=17859473467&albag=&trgt=&crea=en1005005477958475&netw=x&device=c&albpg=&albpd=en1005005477958475&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI46bvpKzdgwMVhwcGAB0N1ATHEAQYBCABEgK-tvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&aff_fcid=d9c6d4e05a49413a983fed405e485eba-1705251369136-01706-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=d9c6d4e05a49413a983fed405e485eba-1705251369136-01706-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=fb4501cec2a9474897ca95e62d09d424&afSmartRedirect=y or better yet get from LPD: https://lexuspartsdirect.co.uk/product/lexus-interior-trim-cushion/
  12. I put 2 bits of plastic sticky pads roughly 1cm x 0.5cm.. they are high enough so when the arm rest is closed it sits flush and stops the rattle.
  13. You will need to remove the plastic door skirt and remove the seat belts from the clip, then its just a case of pulling.... oh before i totally forget you will need to undo the bolts that are visible when seat base is removed.
  14. There is only 1 fan and 1 exhaust outlet (or Inlet)
  15. I have fsport and works fine on mines, you have to scroll down to tpms screen when in the cluster menu
  16. Just to confirm that your car already has tpms before you go ordering it.. I'm just concerned since u also asked about folding mirror module, what spec is your IS?? I've thought about android screen upgrade, but I will bite when they hit the £200-250 mark
  17. Also i would like to add i believe the TPMS was reading the wrong tyre because the moron that refurbished the wheel must have mixed the tmps sensor with the different corners. In feb this year i had all 4 tyres changes and i asked the tpms be put into the correct corners... now my tyres read the correct pressure on the correct corner.
  18. Not sure who i originally bought it from on eBay but here is an alternative: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165289087083?hash=item267bff506b:g:gqgAAOSwCk1h5imt&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8OnbGchGmgj%2FvY3PzEN9ap6dL17DF8NSoXtU0iyEMIgaKi2Hq%2BcQTL7vvgojtDV5JdEnlcsNab9P1JhJt3mKMcgdw2Db6vlDUE6Djkr%2BahccJLQ6DYgMYdaKCcqiLN4h17GQZ9oSTKZluacploqogDKPRxNbLY90mF9VhVP%2BVcmS%2BoEjNiRjTHw1ZQ6T2fjgbfiN1tf%2FolLFvSqplLBb6sAnEKJvXnENf8x0yL7MB8lO5K3TVZatdL1lOlKtRRdgNu1THGKO0diRtjAeQjtXAsBBvIwBWzuqPAlLcNJN%2B2hgIaQnDzvx4CDy%2FC9ZS06OFg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5bk962XYw Please read the description carefully before purchasing. It should be fine as the seller explicitly states all cars after 2015 work 100%
  19. So I had the MOT, I asked the tester beforehand about the level being low, I was asking as a general question, but while I was in waiting area watching, I could see he was trying to adjust it. He said the aim was lower that expected even though it was within tolerance level but he said he couldn't reach the adjust for the vertical. Which was fair enough, as it wasn't really his job to adjust them anyway but at least he gave it a go. I'm due for service next month at Lexus anyway so maybe I can twist their arm or they can empty my pocket and get them to adjust it for me. I would be more than willing to try it myself but I cannot find any Information on what the height should be. So for those of you who feel the headlight aim is too low, might we worth getting yours checked out and adjusted.
  20. I have my MOT booked for monday, i would like to know if the aim is below the nroaml level before i go adjusting it, last thing i need is an MOT failure. But i am wondering why so many of us think the light level is too low, is that normal for the IS300h. I have replaced 1 headlight so i can explain the low aim at that, but others they have not swapped headlights so its interesting that they all seem to agree headlight aim is too low.
  21. it looks like you are trying to adjust the headlight "horizontally" and not vertically
  22. I have a feeling it cannot be done without Techstream. I tried several times last night to do the initialisation but no luck, then it occurred to me maybe cause its a hybrid and thus the car start sequence might be different from the petrol version which would explain why he guy with the IS200t managed it But ive read it can be done using techstream. The manual method should work.. but the question is then, how high should the lights be aiming
  23. Makes sense.... although will try the auto initialise method 1st, on that guys video someone with a IS200t got it to work on their 2016 model but said it took a lot of tries. Im due for an MOT in few weeks so dont want to mess about now in case i end up setting them too high and then they fail me lol
  24. Thank you for that.... I thought these car have self-levelling headlights? but they need to be adjusted manually?
  25. Does anyone know how to Initialise Lexus Auto Levelling Headlight on the 3rd gen IS either for the 250/300h/200t? For a long time its bugged me when driving on dark roads i feel the bulb is aiming too low... if we had the traditional lamp level dial i would have set it to 0 to make high as possible. This guys talk about it on his RC-F: But i don't understand how to measure the number of clicks required as the fuel gauge readout on the IS300h is different (i dont even know if this method would even would, but a guy in the comment said it worked on his IS350). To add to confusion i found a 2014 IS250 where he is adjsuting the headlight using a screwdriver: Anyone know the correct way to adjust the level and how high is high?
