  1. I do wander if this could account for my relatively poor mpg I do also suspect sometimes the fuel is too lean which is why I brought up the issue of replacing O2 sensor.
  2. What is unclear to me..... does answering/rejecting calls mean no touching phone are or you not allowed to use the handsfree steering controls either? Draconian rules.. Funny how the Gov dishing them out broke all the rules during lockdown 🤬😡
  3. Just been thinking about general maintenance for the IS300h. I remember the O2 sensor (bank1 sensor1/2)was a common fault that used to flag up on the IS250 around 70k mileage. Does the IS300h ever need the O2 downstream sensor replaced?
  4. The seller responded, need to run through calibration for the monitor to report correct pressure on correct tyre. Will post instructions later.
  5. Would tyre rotation or changing tyres cause tpms to report on wrong side? For example FL1 FR2 RL1 RL2 Then let's say user rotates tyres or has tyres changed. So the tpms sequence get mixed so you end up with FL1 FR2 RL2 RL1 Would this cause confusion in feedback from the tpms?
  6. Yeah it's odd.. is there anyway to get the capacity reading as a % rather than gauging from the bars?
  7. I really think the hybrid battery isn't run at optimum. Looking at testimonial on Hybrid Battery Solutions: Massive thank you to Richard at Hybrid Battery Solutions. My GS450H had a check Hybrid message and had lost some ‘oomph’ and mpg. On my drive down to get the battery conditioned I achieved 26.2mpg average. The return journey was 38mpg (and I was in a hurry!). Really pleased – the car feels like it has been remapped and is back to ‘as new’ condition. Highly recommended” what I have noticed is at night I will park car, hybrid battery will be nearly full. But some days when I leave the following day battery is only 1-2 bars. I think it's not holding capacity and the engine waste fuel charging the battery. I will reach out Richard for advice and see what he says. I discovered my car was a taxi in a previous life which may explain alot.
  8. https://mag.lexus.co.uk/hybrid-driving-lexus-top-tips-for-best-fuel-economy/comment-page-1/ Educational read..
  9. Yeah I was planning to change them next month as they are scary in the wet when going round the roundabout lol time for wheel spins to burn them out 🤪
  10. Process of elimination 😂 where do I go from here, I was hoping it would be the crap tyres.
  11. The reason I have stuck to E5 is so many reports of people getint poor economy on E10 + engine light turning on. For me Tesco Momentum is the only E5 option all other pumps are now E10 in my area.
  12. I have 1 x Sailwin Sportway 56 tyre fuel rating E. 3 x Joyroads Sports RX6 tyre fuel rating E. I would never but tyre with Fuel rating less than C worse case scenario.
  13. I've never used E10 I always get Tesco Momentum E5
  14. This may give you a better understanding on Rx 450h
  15. I think if I remember correctly the fan is under the rear passenger seats on the RX450h.. if you look at the bottom front of the rear seat you should see cooling vents.
  16. In the IS250 I used to get 20-27mpg round town 30-35mpg on long runs and even 40-42mpg on trips to London. Lexus quote 60 odd mpg for the IS300h surely I should be able to get 40-45mpg without having to drive like a snail 🐌 In short I'm not really any better off than I was in is250.
  17. Yeah that was done along with 70k service back in January hybrid health check was a pass I've also changed the spark plug back in February. Cleaned the hybrid fan and filter and keep all tyres at 36. I do my best to accelerate slowly, brake early and use control as much as possible.
  18. I'm wondering apart from the shoddy tyre I currently have, if the hybrid battery is is slowly dying resulting in the petrol engine picking up more of the slack in performance resulting in poorer mpg.
  19. I remember the days when my 1.0L yaris used to give me 50-55mpg😁
  20. It was 12degrees on Sunday. And Sunday was an unsual day in which I made two 30miles round trip that day. My normal day is 5-6miles around town. I think if I did longer trips daily I would start to exceed 35mpg. My tyres are recommended pressure for 18". I'm so ecstatic with 35mpg 🤣 I still think my tyres are largely to blame.
  21. I finally seen 35mpg at the weekend, thats the highest I've managed since owning the car back in January. I leave car in eco mode these days, hoping it will improve further as weather improves. I also put a bottle of Toyota fuel cleaner same day I filled up tank back on 1st of may.
  22. That is where the air flow goes through the net filter which is directly behind it. Agree with Maxz, would only do it once every 50k unless you are subject to a burning volvanco giving of lots of ash in which case you have bigger issue at hand 🤣
  23. Wouldn't have thought so, it should be receiving tpms data from the tyre that is low regardless of left or right side. I have contacted seller for explanation.
  24. Looks like condensation is going away! Originally before sealing it was 70% condensation After sealing when I thought it was sealed about 25% returned. Car has been parked in the garage for the last 2 days when it's been dark and cold, today looked at it and condensation is 5%. I think unit is sealed now but I think what happened is because there was so much water inside and when I dried it i didn't cool it after with cold air to normalise the temperature so the warm air still had mositure which has slow been dissipating. Even of it remains at 5% I can live with it... Let's see how the next few days to.
