  1. While I have no negotiation skills can't help with that but what I can suggest is have a look at Auto trader valuation. They have a page that will tell you what to expect to pay for private/dealer prices. This will give you an idea on whether the price is to high or not. Good luck 👍
  2. It allows you to drain oil from the oil filter canister before actually removing the oil filter canister itself. But it probably doesn't apply to your car.
  3. Ok well thats reassuring I suppose lol
  4. 6 months now... i do note that on longer journeys i get better mpg than my usual daily 4 mile run. looking on Fuelly maybe my average is not all that bad. I do wish i would get 40+ 🤖
  5. I want the ECU to learn (re-learn) my driving habit, still can seem to get above 35mpg, looking at the historical record the previous owner seemed to be getting 38-44mpg no bother.
  6. Folks, I have a 2015 IS300h ands want to reset the ECU, normally i would pull the negative terminal on the 12v battery and leave it for a while. But i am apprehensive on doing this in case the radio goes to heaven 👻 Was the radio dying issue only effecting 2013/2014 models? How else can i reset ECU?
  7. I had Avon AV7 on my IS250 previously, perfectly good tyres but that was for 17"
  8. Dunno why lexus wasted so much screen space! 10" should have been standard 😐 How responsive is the Road Top unit?
  9. Texaco is very rare if any in Scotland, certainly none near where I live. So am I correct in assuming that if we take Asda as an example then E10 is really just E5 rebranded as the ethanol contents on E10 is really low? Weirdly I got Asda E10 for the 1st time earlier this week as j was running late for airport and guess what I got better MPG 🤔
  10. E5 E10 E10 winner will surprise you 😀
  11. Yes i know that but that is a hassle, what i want is to be only able to open the boot only when key is in close proximity. The button in the glove box means having to remember to do it every time. I'll have a look at the user manual when i get time.
  12. Can I just apend to this topic of smart entry, and ask a question? on my old IS250 I had smart entry but nobody could ever open the boot unless you did it manually from within the car or you were standing next to the boot. But on the IS300h anyone can open the boot as long as car is unlocked, anyway to to disable this?
  13. Water doesn't get in, I did the mod about 5 years ago, if I had another is250 I would do the mod again.
  14. Here is a comparison of the f-sport vs stock box: You will need to cut the square out where the fins are.
  15. I did that when i had the IS250.... adds a nice growl 😁
  16. Forgot to say, try opening boot using the physical key.
  17. Hey Mike, Your in the wrong forum, as this for MK3 and you have the MK2 🙂 But to answer the question £95 is good, when i had the IS250 i replaced mines with BOSCH S4 068 https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/bosch-s4-car-battery-068-4-year-guarantee-444770687 Which is currently priced at £118. Im sure i paid around £138 a few years back. So £95 for battery straight from LPD is good.
  18. That does sounds like both of sensors, 1 on each side of the engine.
  19. I had this issue on my IS250, its the boot lock mechanism. try this: I manged to make do for a for 2 years using the solution but eventually it got so bad i ended up replacing the mechanism and that permanently fixed the issue.
  20. You could always disable the valvet button in glove box, this will kill the boot switch, but you will need to remember to disable it or you won't be able to get into the boot 🤣
  21. At 83k you are due the oxygen sensor replacement, there 2 that you will need to replace. I would not venture too far while you have the issue. OBD port is in driver footwell, look underneath you will see an obd-ii cover pull it to reveal the port.
  22. What's the mileage? 1st time I had it around 72k it was the upstream oxygen sensor. I then had the vsc light up around 100k, changing PCV valve fixed it.
  23. Did you ever change the CVT fluid during the 200k?
