Climate Control issue
agent_dess replied to Spartak's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
I may be going on a hunch here but did you replace the climate control module? im not talking about the actual unit, i mean the ECU for it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125153845250?var=0&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338749392&toolid=20006&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1pDVLPDQUTD-oesCaQ3o-XQ93&customid=GB_131090_125153845250.139652105680~1688591309924-g_EAIaIQobChMIwMXVoPGn-QIVlJBoCR1S8ACgEAQYCyABEgIGvvD_BwE -
Brake pad/disc and caliper paint coat
agent_dess replied to agent_dess's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
I'll post another photo once car is washed and tyre dressing applied. I know alot of people will find Red boring but you can't go wrong with it. 😁 -
So continuing in the traditional fashion as i did from the IS250 days, i finally got round to changing out the brake disc and pads and painting the calipers to give them a clean fresh look. I went to bed thinking red... then when i woke up i thought flaming orange, but by the time i left Halfords i settled on "Tool box Red" 😂 Ignore the rest of the car its in bad need of a wash 🙄

agent_dess replied to mastersport01's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
I nearly chocked when i say this!! Did i suddenly wake up in a parallel universe.... how can it be £735 for the 80 and 100k service???? Then on the other page i found this: Big difference between £735 and £475!! So what is going on? both come from lexus.co.uk website. -
Climate Control issue
agent_dess replied to Spartak's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Surely the car is under warranty? take it to your nearest Lexus dealer in your country. But I'm assuming the HVAC control module is the climate control unit that has all the button or it will be an actual module close by, maybe connection has become loose or maybe it as failed, but if the car is under warranty get the dealer to resolve it. -
So you like the T005?

IS300H - Alarm going off
agent_dess replied to route66's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Pretty wild theory... thought all the 12V battery does is help start the car and few other bits and pieces, not utilised to the extent it would it would in a normal car. I would assume if you had dying cells replaced in the hybrid battery that would be reason you would see mpg boost. -
The Bridgestone ticked all the boxes hence why i was looking at them.... otherwise i would opt for Goodyear. But apparently the Bridgestone crack easily.... the cheap Chinese tyre on the car at the moment still have plenty tread left... so maybe i will just rock them out.

I was contemplating getting Bridgestone turanza t005 any recommendations on this?

You would think it was heat tested since it comes out of Japan which is wayyyyy hotter than UK 😉

Making the leap from an IS250 to an IS300h
agent_dess replied to HoofHearted's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
The F-Sports dials are to die for 😍 I personally think the Is250 mk2 dials look better than mk3 dials which is another reason why I wanted the f-sport -
Multimedia Issues IS300h
agent_dess replied to shabz1101's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Do you have any sticky buttons?? You could try rebooting the radio, I think you just hold the power button on the radio to reboot media system. -

I don't have ML and sound quality is just fine, but I do have premium navigation thus reverse camera. @Linas.P I do get what you mean about the car, but I do think it comparable to the IS250 in many ways, but ultimately in the end it comes down to personal taste like marmite, best advice for anyone is to test drive it. -

I love my IS300h for many reasons: 1) road tax virtually 0 2) wayyyy better on fuel economy 3) the ASC makes me giggle like a 17 year old when in sports mode I genuinely love it 4) CVT isn't everyone's taste but Ive not been bothered by it. -
Carbon Fibre Wrapping Interior
agent_dess replied to agent_dess's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Hey David thanks 😀yes it's very easy to do, the wrap can be bought from eBay, its cheap. The black one used was 3M, the grey one I had was non-branded. Only tools used was plastic trim tool, screwdriver, scalpel knife and hairdryer oh and scissors to cut the vinyl. I washed the parts using fairy liquid then dried, to ensure parts were grease free. Best way to learn is by doing,. But I suggest watching some vids on YouTube. Also if you look on the forum you will find old posts of when I did the carbon wrap on my IS250. -
In the classical sense i eventually caved in and decided to do some carbon fibre wrapping. There are two specimens: 1) Black 3D carbon fibre 2) Dark Grey 3Dcarbon fibre (more about this at the end) I ended up going for the Black carbon fibre for 1 main reason.. i had loads of it left over. Another reason for doing the centre console panel was the driver side was pretty worn down from the previous owner. I decided to NOT wrap the inner panel.. i may revisit this in the future Model select knob removed, as you can see it has 4 clip points, was very easy to remove. Had a few scratches that annoyed me and replacement cannot be found. Final product 🙂 Now about why i didn't use the dark grey carbon fibre, simply i didnt have enough and what i had was crumpled badly after being knocked about in the cupboard/ Here some proof of concept: So they grey would have been equally nice. Future plans make include switching to the dark grey and include the door switch panels and glove box.

New Firmware - May 2016
agent_dess replied to pobrown's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
Seems the updates are not free. I have noticed a small minor issue... when streaming from Bluetooth, if i skip the tracks to quickly the song playing on the display doesn't match the actual song. Its annoying at time. Workaround is to skip to next song, then wait a few secs then skip. I wouldnt mind paying for Lexus-Tech access but i cannot even view the bulletins without paying so bit of a catch-22. If anyone can confirm they have had similar issues with the audio and if the update fixed it? -
Have a look here: https://www.lexus-tech.eu/euro5search/VehicleSpecifications Free sign-up and you will need your VIN.

Headlight Dipping Problem
agent_dess replied to Martin_W's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
I found a TSB for headlight condensation (US Market).. but Lexus UK fobbed me off saying its not in warranty and "it didn't leave the factory like that" so either its had an impact.... despite all that i found no valid reason for the condensation issue. You can try speaking to Lexus but don't hold your breath. Bumper and headlight removal is easy. -
Farewell to my IS 300H Fsport
agent_dess replied to Slucky's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
With the IS finished in the UK market, may jump to the ES in the future myself... but i would really love to import would be the IS500 🙄 -
Have you looked in the cluster menus, im guessing the cluster is remembering a feature that is no longer present in your car. Have a look in the menu on the cluster maybe you can turn it off there? Otherwise there will be an option somewhere in TechStream. That said i think you are going to need the physical LDA button to turn it off.
