It does work, ive just tried it twice now and it works.
Try the following:
1) set the light to o as indicated in the photo
2) Press the START button twice without putting your foot on the pedal and wait until you are at the normal interface menu
3) Press and hold the MENU button
3) Now turn the light dial twice so you are at the position circled in green as per step 1 photo then return to o position
Now do this 3 more times and you will see the hidden menu appear you can now let go off the menu button and return the dial back to auto for the light.
Forgot to mention the critical bold that needs to be removed for successful bumper removal:
Thanks @matt8 for pointing this out as i had forgotten to mention it in my guide above.
The SatNav update is independent of the system update.
Putting in the MicroSD card only updates the map and software relating to navigation.
The system software update would fix a bunch of bugs (and probably add some new ones) relating to the whole media entertainment system.
Its extremely easy... you have to pull the lining cover (top of wheel arch roughly 1 o'clock), then reach in and twist and pull the indicator bulb out.
Installation in reverse...
Tool required: Bare hands 🙂
Highlighted in green circle you should be able to see when you pull the liner down.
Have you checked the USB option on the phone? by default it will always to set to charge.
You have to tell it what you want to do when usb is detected.
I've tried it, got it when i bought the IS300h back in January, seems fine, idle was little rough prior to it, but defo no more issue after using it.
I also stick to E5 petrol.
Could be the O2 sensor are on the way out, there are 2 to be replaced, 1 on each side of the engine.
Another thing could be wheel sensor that plug into each wheel bearing.
Either way u need to get odbc fault code to correctly diagnose it but my money is on O2 sensor.
