  1. But overall solid cars... that said i think personally think my previous IS250 MK2 was better built than the new MK3 generation. Something has got to be done about the polar bears and melting ice caps i suppose 😂
  2. Service History would be good starter. Not only look at the service book but also check the lexus website for the electronic history and see if it matches and has hybrid check been done every year. Look at the MOT history carefully and see if it tallies up ti will also show any that would have cause MOT failure and does the mileage look correct year on year. Personally i would not look at anything older than 2016 at this point, but bear in the mind the new 2017+ model have a big jump in VED tax. Look the seat particularly driver seat, does it look really worn vs mileage. The rest would be wear and tear such as brake pads etc. Inspect body panel especially if its been raining, are the colours matching. Check engine cap for mayo build up.
  3. Even the rear sets have a few scratches on them courtesy of the child seat! For that i will just get the correct colour code leather dye cream.
  4. Hey Folks, My driver seat on my IS30h F-sport is starting to feel hard and the cover are quite a bit scuffed. I've looking at replacement seats. Needs to be electric. The question is the F-sport seats the same as the non-F-sports?
  5. @MattDH Would like to know what the experience has been like over 1 year later? I am thinking to get an Android unit for my car now, after driving across Europe (different car but using google maps on my phone) vs a weekend trip to Manchester and the Lexus sat nav couldn't even get me on to the correct lane despite multiple attempts. 😂 Also i think it would elevate driving experience and bring a bit of modernisation to the mix.
  6. I've noticed the same thing with time keeping... Could the 12v battery be on its way out?
  7. I pushed my old ones in as they were to far gone, I did initially try to pry them out, so pushed them in and proceeded to fit the new ones
  8. I got mines from Lexus Part Direct as i needed to order a few other things so it was all covered under the £5 shipping. If that was all i need i would have ordered from elsewhere.
  9. To get the tyre pressure display you need to buy the tpms module. Without it your tpms will only display an orange warning light when tyre pressure are low.
  10. I have, I like them, had mines since 2022. Just be sure to replace them in pairs.
  11. I have the tpms module and is great for pressure display. But you might struggle to find one for 2013/2014 models. It needs to be a specific model to work with the car.
  12. If you hit the rear wheel then most likely wheel bearing... it might be a slightly bent. I would start with the corner that you hit. Jack the car and spin the wheel and see if you can hear the noise.
  13. Go with the lexus Paint as it's specifically for your car by the ppl that built your car. It's comes with base coat and lacquer.
  14. You get what I mean though. There is absolutely no reason for the premium hike other than they can get away with doing so!
  15. Insurance price should be capped as it stands it a legal racket!! I find it funny that home insurance which covers 20X more than the price of a car is less to insure than the car!! Madness! Even more annoying as the car insurance renewals go up the value of the car is dropping year on year. Agenda 2030... You will own nothing and be happy....
  16. Click on the compass to change GPS directions:
  17. Yep comprehensive including motor legal protection
  18. Those are road rash... its always more visible on darker paint
  19. I just renewed mine last month at £479, last year it was £450. When I got the car in 2022 it was £320
  20. Flat head to pop the retainer which connects to bumper. Followed by 10mm and 12mm ratchet. I only removed the retainers and middle 3 bolts that gave me enough access.
  21. So been for a drive the noise is still there but now I know how to replicate it. I'm wondering if there is a stone trapped in the spring which is why is making the crunchy sound. Will take car to mechanic when I get time.
  22. So I've been getting a weird noise for a week now when I turn the car, more specifically when turning right, anyway thought I would clean out the hybrid battery cover tray as I haven't done it for a while and last time I didn't remove the cover, just kept tapping on it. This time I decided to partially remove the cover and WOW!!! Amongst the stones and gravel was glass shards and what looked like Himalayan salt fragments! Not gone for a drive l yet. It hoping it was all the stones causing the noise. Process of elimination. The kind of noise ice been getting sounds like a plastic water bottle being crushed.
  23. Adjusting the hole on the door frame was pretty straightforward and the finished result you cannot even tell the hole was modified
  24. Ahhh you had the same issue i had with Cruz aerobars... the driver side foot pin would not align with the hole! I know its shocking for Lexus to do that, some lazy git a the factory was being dozy! I remedied the issue by using a dremel to align the foot pin then touched up the edges using touch up paint and finally using screw plug painted in black..... final result blended in with the factory hole... Shame i had to send the Crux bar back because the Yakima brackets don't use the hole and the positioning is different. Here is the a post i made which shows the pictures of the issue and how i remedied the hole: But taking the bracket to a vice to bend it was not a good idea 😬
  25. Bought and fitted mines...no more clunking noise 🙂
