Another quick update, fitted a rhino lip splitter on Friday evening / Saturday morning, was only supposed to take an hour according to the seller but actually took over 3 hours to get it bob on. Now I know this mod wont be to everyone's taste especially on here but I'm really happy with it, gives the look I wanted and also want crack on look tatty if it touches something. I will be fitting these underline skirts to match http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360832554583?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Few photos so you can see what you think

Received a refund the seller wasn't even aware they didn't reflect light!

Another quick update, just finished putting the interior back together after I had the rear windows tinted today. Obviously you "need" tinted rear windows when you have a baby so they don't get sun in their eyes in the amazing summers we have in Cumbria hehe Please excuse how dusty the car is it was immaculate when I dropped it off for tinting but it has been parked outside his workshop all afternoon next to some joiners who has covered it in dust 15% rear tint: inside when it has started to go dark, still plenty of vision couple more as it has started to go dark
-
That looks truly fantastic.

Ah right that just made up my mind the listing for these is very misleading then as it says reflectors about 10 times, these will be going back. Shame as looking at the lighting on your car I was defiantly warming to them
-
Little bit more progress today spent a couple of hours prepping the bits of steering wheel and rear window switch trims ( I forgot them last time ) fir carbon dipping didn't bother taking any photos though as I'm sure no one is interested Also managed to get the floor mats finished and give the interior a clean though, I'm really happy with the mats they look better than my original genuine mats now and much better quality
-
Thanks I personally think they look very good actually how close is the match in colour of red between the reflectors and original leds tail lights? Also do they still function well as just reflectors? Difficult to tell from the photos but last thing I would want is someone slamming into the rear of my car on an unlit street because my reflectors didn't work

Any chance you could post me a link to the stuff you used? Thanks mate

Just after a few other opinions on this one, what colour should I do my button surrounds on my new flat bottom steering wheel? My options are: Black matt plastic: (cheap and easy) Matt silver / aluminium paint and match the paddles: (still cheap but more work) Carbon Fibre to match all my centre console and such obviously I wouldn't be getting the top and bottom done in carbon fibre just the button covers: (most expensive but very little work)

Tonights project is only a little one, I have had everything to do it for over 6 months but never seemed to find the time, installed my F Sport badges into my floor mats. Please excuse how dirty the mats are they haven't been vacuumed for a couple of weeks and the camera mates them look a lot dirtier they they are for some reason, these photos show the badges installed, just need to finish chopping the excess thread off the back of the mat tomorrow at work and they are ready to go back in the car. Really happy with them think they look great and sit nice and flush too. Drivers Passengers: Flush fit Both

Nice to be back mate still not got much time but want to try keep plodding away on a few jobs. Yeah the quality may be an issue but as mention if they are re-sealed should keep them water tight. Will keep you updated as things move on
-
Good tip bit of clear sealer is no problem any chance of a few photos on yours? Thanks
-
Before i bother doing anything need to put power to these and see if they look anything like the factory lights of not scrap the whole idea
-
Yes they have 3 wires: 1 feed to run at low brightness as side lights and then another feed to run at full brightness as brake lights also
-
Thanks for the info is that the red of the lens itself or the red of the light emitted? I can see why on the GS it would look awful if it didn't match as they are next to each other. The difference in colour emitted worries me I need to power them up and make sure it is the same colour as my current colours I could live with different colours reds
-
I will but its a bumper off job
-
Look what just arrived : Looking at them they look a lot more OEM than I was expecting actually similar to some of the genuine LED tail lights from the lesser prestige brands we say day in day out at work
-
Im guessing when you saw them in person they didn't look up too much, should have them today or tomorrow, have a feeling they may not be going on.
-
I wouldn't worry too much about ebay compatibility a model could have been released in the US in 2011 but in the UK 2009 and such, Ive made things that don't fit, fit before hehe
-
That is strange as I feel it looks wrong on the silver car but I like it on the blue car lol I know what you mean about being fussy the front bumper currently has a nice finish don't want it to look like this is just slapped on to make it look lower
-
No MOT issues as far as I am aware they are just reflectors when not illuminated they are essentially just reflectors with small red leds hidden in them I have no idea how much lower than OEM I am to be honest I just set it to a level that I thought looked good they don't occupy much height by the looks more how much it sticks forward an inch or 2 at the front of the car further away from the wheels. They are quite similar to what VW fit as standard on the MK7 Golf GTi
-
Yeah I'm 50/50 on the reflectors, easy enough to revert if they look awful though. The road in and around the lake district are not what you would call "good", taking out the worry of the roads do you think they look good? A few examples shown below The steering wheel I know is going to work I'm really excited to get it think it will really lift the interior even further

Looking fantastic mate really like the mods well done
