    yes they are and yes they can garantee it!!as long as its on the oe packing we get customers doing this a lot!(i work for a main dealer) go express your anger to the manager you never know if you shout loud enough about the way you've been treated(like a mug) you might find he might half the cost to shut you up.its amazin what you can get if you shout loud enough!! argument is oer ..ORMI CALLED IT SO I WILL CHANGE IT , IT BEING THE IDLER AS WELL....     I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR 6 YEARS AND I,M LOOKING TO SELL IT NEXT YEAR , I,M CHANGING THE BELT ON 87K, WILL THE IDLER CAUSE THE BELT TO SNAP ??????? EVEN WITH NEW BELT AND TENSIONER ?????

    IDLER IS NOT ESSENTIAL ONLY FOR THE FREEK , MY MATES HAVE JUST CHANGED THEIR TENSIONER AND BELT AND THEY ARE RUNNING SUPERB

    FRONT DISCS AND PADS ARE ABOUT £85.00 IF YOU BUT THEM OFF EBAY GT THE MINTEX ONES AS THESE LET OFF LITTLE DUST AND ARE A GREAT MAKE , TIMING BELT KIT IS £130 GENUINE ONE OFF EBAY INCLUDES CAM BELT TENSIONER AND IDLER , ALSO CHANGE THE ALTERNATOR BELT AND POWER STREERING BELT... THE IS300 IS A VERY VERY JUICY CAR BUT IT IS A FAST FAST MOTOR

    idler is not needed its all about the belt and tensioner , alternator belt and power steering belt these are the main things needing changing

    not everyone changes the idler , is it compulsory lexus say its up to you the most important is the belt and tensioner

    u messed up by throwing that away mate thats , those wires are all interconnedted to the front right speaker.....

    You don't need to no, someone on here fitted one recently and posted pics if you search you may find it. how do you get hold of one these arm rests ??

    nope it doesnt mate so you can change the belt with out changing the tensioner.........but and heres the but if you replace the belt and two days,a few months,a year down the line the tensioner goes pop, bang goes your belt as the bust tensioner will throw the belt oh and gues what..........that could mean a engine rebuild with 24 new valves and a very empty pocket. so cheap out if you must but cheaping out may be costly!!!!! good info but how common is the tensioner popping on these cars ??

    yes it was the RE040 versions , thats why you couldnt get them for a while , the re050 versions are the more tougher ones hod the wet wheather well
